Does Rooney include 1st division goals? I would actually take Rooney I think.

Yeah, Rooney's total includes our season back in Division One.

McKay for me. Better all round player.

 

As others have said, Rooney's record is padded out with penalties, and goals against lower quality opposition.

Its tough, i used to think Rooney but now i think its pretty much equal.  I'm just going on who i was happiest with when they were here.  TBH though both of them have had some terrible droughts during their time here and considering they scored so much they could both have done even better.  I think Rooney scored 1 goal in Feb and never scored again in his final season but he still managed to end up with somewhere around 20 goals.

Both give something different. 

 

Rooney is an athlete with good physical presence but McKay stretches defences by running the channels and is a better finisher.  

 

It'd be a good partnership to be fair but McKay edges it for me.
