ICTFC launch new kit & sponsor

Club CEO Scot Gardiner said “I am delighted to conclude this prestigious partnership for the club and having worked closely with the team at PUMA in previous years, I know very well the reputation of this worldwide sportswear brand and the quality of their product.”

“We have looked at the first 25 years of ICTFC kit and we believed that it was time to try and recapture an identity for our home kit in particular. The many people we discussed previous years designs with all seemed to be thinking along the same lines and I hope the fans are in agreement.”

Also joining the club as significant new partners are Intelligent Land Investments

Intelligent Land Investments, or ILI is a green energy group, based in Hamilton, with a history of successful renewable developments. It is currently planning the £600 million Red John pumped storage hydro scheme at Dores, just south of Inverness. They will be the main shirt sponsor of the club with their company logo emblazoned on both home and away jerseys

New Strip, indeed by Puma......

Club statement from 10/05/20 states that the club would be announcing news this month- with only 1 day left I'm fairly sure that they're going to miss that deadline.

The same statement also states news on season tickets would be out within a week- also hasn't happened.

Our CEO has also disappeared from the face of the earth....

What are you expecting any statement to say? There may or may not be any games next year. In the meantime give us £350 of your money (I know that you may be about to lose your job but it’s better in our bank than yours).

The silence is because the whole of Scottish football is in a mess and don’t have a good way ahead which everyone can agree on

Your missing the point, I don't expect any statement to say anything.  The club chose to put out a statement that made reference to forthcoming announcements on things- I'm just pointing out the fact that they haven't done any of it.

Anyway, plenty of clubs are selling season tickets as a way to generate cash and allow suporters to show support. Have a look at the likes of Hearts and Hibs to see what I mean.  New strips can also generate some revenue and lots of Scottish clubs have found novel ways to generate both money and goodwill (e.g. face masks).

The club shouldn't be putting out statements to say they're going to do something if they're not going to do it.  I also refer you to the statement on 12th May regarding the Record article to which nothing happened.

is it me, most probably, or do the faded hexagons give an impression of body definition? Useful for the, shall we, say larger members of the support such as myself. Add me to the likes.

I really like the strip too. Always been a fan of the bar style. Puma are a quality brand too so there should be some pretty nice merch available this coming season.

Looks good...on footballers.

Puma strips or 'technical kit' as geeks like to say is quite 'fitted' I think...

Not the best for those carrying a bit of extra timber, time to whittle down to those fighting weights.😁

Can't remember if it was said on the Shuffle or if I was imagining things, but was there a mention of pink and black?

I was looking on the Puma site and saw that, for some kits, they do an 'authentic' as well as the replica kit. The authentic seems to be fitted, and the replica slightly looser, which bodes better for the likes of myself.

This is the full press release. Not sure if TM4TJ wants to add any of it into the article ..... It does explain who ILI are in more detail.  Also got to say I do love that kit also. great job.

The club is delighted to unveil two major new partners to Caledonian Stadium and they are joining us together by way of our brand new 2020/21 home kit!

Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC are pleased to confirm that we have signed a multi-year partnership with PUMA, one of the most famous brand names in world football. They will become our technical kit supplier as well as our official retail partner.

Speaking on behalf of PUMA,  Russ Thomas said ‘We are delighted to welcome Caley Thistle to the PUMA family. We are really thrilled to partner the Club and look forward to bringing exciting new product into the Club Shop and onto their Fort George Training Ground over the coming weeks and months.’

“We will look to launch pre-orders for the home kit early next week with delivery later in the summer due to COVID-19. Our striking new PUMA Away kit will be revealed in short order as well, along with a brand new training wear range. I know that Manager John Robertson, the players and everyone associated with the club is looking forward to working with PUMA.”

They will be the main shirt sponsor of the club with their company logo emblazoned on both home and away jerseys.

Speaking to the club this week, CEO Mark Wilson said “Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC has been part of the community for an illustrious 25 years. Alongside the Club, the ILI Group wants to play a major part in the city’s economic and social life by creating local employment and investment. This sponsorship is an indication of our determination to be here for the long-term.”

ICTFC Chairman Ross Morrison and CEO Scot Gardiner have spent a number of months working closely with ILI CEO Mark Wilson and his team and everyone is absolutely delighted to see the fruits of those discussions finally illustrated on what we hope will be one of the best selling Caley Thistle jerseys for many years.

Speaking last night, the Chairman commented, “We have worked hard with Mark and the guys at ILI since last year and like us, they are extremely determined to have a positive influence on the economy of Inverness and the surrounding area as we begin to exit from this pandemic, we look forward to a long and successful partnership which will hopefully deliver an injection of prosperity back into the Highlands.”

ILI follow the excellent solicitors and estate agents McEwan Fraser Legal, who successfully partnered Caley Thistle and we thank them for their sterling support. Similarly, we thank Errea for their backing over many years as kit suppliers.

Rumours are it might be a charity away shirt this season similar to one Partick wore a few seasons back which had pink. Not sure how true that is but what I was told last month about the home kit and supplier was true. We'll see I guess.

Should perhaps be changed to say "the controversial Red John pumped hydro storage scheme". At least conroversy fits in with our recent exploits 😄

The new kit is a huge improvement on last season's. A little black trim around the collar and cuffs to fully reflect our heritage and it would have been perfect.

Red and blue vertical stripes are our clear identity. Can we please never again revert to the bland, The Rangers style, tedious blue top that we seem to adopt from time to time.
