David James to Stoke fell through and it was because Sorensen was going to Bayern Munich which is another strange one

You would have thought stoke would have signed him if there losing there number one keeper

Wouldnt be surprised if Stoke go and try to sign Boruc seeing as Zaluska can probably hold his own for Celtic

David James to Stoke  they already have one of the best keepers in the EPL with Sorenson.. very strange.. and it's fecked my fantasy football team

He's decent Sorenson, dependable, but he aint all that great. Not one of the best in the EPL and not as good as James

Better going for Zaluska, he may have only just signed a contract in the summer but I think he'd still be cheaper than Boruc.

He hasn't been getting a game and I think he may have been out of contract at the end of the season. Athletico wanted rid. Probably on good wages so were happy to let him go for nothing.

And it was almost 4 years ago he scored that peach for Argentina.

He's decent Sorenson, dependable, but he aint all that great. Not one of the best in the EPL and not as good as James

22 goals conceded in 18 games for a team like Stoke... I doubt James competed with that tally last season at Pompey

Mark Yeates [Middlesbrough - Sheffield United] Undisclosed

He just moved to Middlesbrough at the start of the season, I thought he was decent as well ... Strachan obviously not a fan

Portsmouth need to get rid of James because if he plays one more game he has to be offered a new deal. A bit like Michael Ball when he was at Rangers and they stopped playing him because if he played another match Everton were due ?X amount as a bonus payment.

Does anybody know why Maxi, the world cup legend, cost nothing?

Because he's past his best even for a team in as dire straits as Atletico.

A good record yes but Stoke in general have a fairly big solid back line. And they're a physical bunch who dont really concede. But I wouldnt say Sorensen is the key to that.

Na mate Sorensen has had something like 5 penalty saves this season, he's a cracking keeper. (also earns me a ton of points for my fantasy team)

James is maybe a level above but when you already have a keeper performing well I would have thought Stoke would use the wages elsewhere to strengthen their team

"Manchester City's unhappy Brazil international Robinho is to join his former club Santos on a six-month loan."

Not good news for the Man City diehard who got "Robinho" tattoed across his chest, just next to the "Kaka" he confidently got done when they bid ?100m for him.

Didn't realise he had a Shaun Goater tattoo as well, making a full set of the worlds best players.

"I'll just wait until I have kids and call them Robinho and Kaka," added Mr Atkinson, who currently does not have a girlfriend.
