OK , I'll take pity on you, the tune is "Highland Cathedral".  I'll never forget David Sole leading the Scots rugby team out to it, in the form of a slow march, before beating England at Murryfield to win the Grand Slam back in 1990.

How do you get a banjo player to stop playing?

Inverness has a cathedral without a spire, possibly the only city in the UK like this. (I wait to be corrected if anyone knows of any other).  I didn't introduce Police into the equation, so can't help you there.

I think you will find that the correct length is Daaaaah.

And yes the Northern Constabulary play it as one of their signature tunes. :icon_police:
