The pope made his resignation speech in Latin.  My Latin is a bit rusty but I interpretted his words as

 

"ICT have lost four in a row.  Truly there can be no God after all.  I quit."

Nice one!  I look forward to seeing a long white straw emerging from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel to announce his election.  He should make a refreshing change.
