It does indeed, and not a stone's throw from the Portland Club either. I'm trying to remember whether it was Stratton or Framers' Dairy who had the original phone number 97 which became 33097 with STD. Can anyone make out the name on the milk float?  Something's telling me that the phone number may have been Farmers' Dairy's and the float maybe looks as if, in colour, it may come out green rather than orange?

 

 

 

Doing a little googling it seems Farmers Dairy used to have 01463 233097 which would have been 33097 and 97 before that so I reckon its FD !

I would certainly go with that and as I said, the float looks as if it might be FD green rather than Stratton orange.

Who is the milkman?  Don't think it is Jock Clunas, a well known milkman from my youth, who, had there been breathalisers in those days, would have been found to be drunk in charge of a horse on many an occasion.  Anyone remember him?

Yes its real .. the Bank of Scotland 'Bridge Series'. £50 has Falkirk Wheel, £20 has Forth Rail Bridge, £10 has Glenfinnan Viaduct and £5 has 'Brig o'Doon'

I do believe that's the Eilean Dubh.... the even smaller predecessor of the Rosehaugh. Hugely changed days from rush hour on the Kessock Bridge.

That's a predecessor to the Eilean Dubh it is a 4 car turntable ferry.  Here she is with a Ford Zepher parked in the corner.
