Tiger not looking a very happy chap after losing a ball :confused01:

I now see that Woods and the Pieman have both missed the cut (well there's 50% of a surprise for you!) while the lead is being held by a 59 year old with a hip replacement.

kind of blows a hole in your fitness theory .

Yup... kind of puts golf into the cricket, snooker and darts category doesn't it?

You're saying the cricket guys are not physically fit?

I think athletics need to learn a bit about the spirit of sport from these players. Let's compare the drug test results of professional 'athletes', golfers, cricketers...does anyone watch the Olympics thinking it's clean?

What a hugely disapointing finish to what was so nearly an historic victory for Watson.Lee must regret having a go for Birdie at 18 if only he'd known a par would get him in the play off I'm sure he could have done Cink, whereas Watson was totally burnt out from his efforts, but all easy with hindsight.

Another fantstic 4 days entertainment and whatever the opinions of folk regarding the fitness levels of players, there's no doubting the massive skill levels and mental toughness required to win such an event.I can vouch that 4 continuos days playing golf is knackering, even for an athlete in prime condition such as myself, although i doubt these players go on the **** for four hours at the end of each round!

Phil "Tuffers" Tufnell, heavy drinking, dope smoking player who was still one of the top in the game, in his day. Also, IMO, one of the funniest and best craic sportsmen around, cricket's version of Ally Mcmoist.

Cink didnt win it, Watson threw it away. His putt on the 18th was woeful. He didnt approach it like the championship was hanging on it. It was more like he had just heard he had just lost the chance to win.

Still, in saying that, Watson picked up a cheque for ?550 000, so, not a bad few days work!
