What was yer most memorable Christmas pressie as a kid: a seedless tangerine, a walnut, Ker Plunk, Buck-a-roo, a Step Reebok, a Raleigh Chopper, a Dukla Prague away kit fer Subbuteo, or what?

Got A Grifter Bike one year...that was good.....except there was about a foot of fresh snow on xmas day. Must have been about 1978. Also used to love getting action man stuff. When i was 14 i got a ZX Spectrum 48K. got a lot of entertainment from that.

I remember one xmas when I was about 10 when my dad set up a scalectrix for me on Xmas eve. I got up at about 5am and by the time my parents woke up I had changed the layout that many times that I had broken the clips on it. Not a good Xmas. :004:

My best prezzie would probably be a purple raliegh chopper. Right ball breaker as I remember.

Most memorable would have been "Striker" that my brothers & I got as a shared present from our Uncle about '72 or '73. I used to love playing that until someone got carried away and pushed down on the players heads too hard breaking them. Gutted!

Joint present for me and my brothers.....Atari 2600 with Decathlon. By the time it came round to Christmas lunch we all had so many blisters and hands were that sore we struggled to hold the knife and fork

A scooter when I was about 7 or 8. In reality, all I did was go round and round a roundabout, but in my imagination, the sky was the limit (actually, it wasn't 'coz I even went to outer space!)

Was Clackers the two high velocity balls on each end of a string and they rebounded off each other once you got up to speed, with a tremendous high pitched repeat noise?

If they were, my story was about my work colleagues who traveled to Ireland, at the time of the troubles, to do some financal business. All three, just off the plane and coming out of the taxi, in pin stripped suits and brief cases about to walk into their office when gunfire sent all three diving behind the nearest cover.

Round the corner towards them comes a wee boy with his Clackers going like mad, up from the dirt rose the three no longer business men but 'rag a muffins' - knees out of their suits and covered in mud!

They did not call the wee boy an Angel, I can tell you!
