Brewster is 40 today and wants to play again in SPL. Should we bite the bullet and give him a place till end of season. He could be that missing link.

A week or three ago I would have said no but now I wonder if it would be the kick needed to get us back on track.

Not even till the end of this season? There would be a good chance of him, not only scoring a few goals, but setting up a few more for Dargo.... Could be crucial by the end of the season.... :018:

Nah Alex, I'm not for it.

I know it's another of those sickening old football cliche's but "never go back"

Besides that, at 40 the b u g g e r has got to be running on empty now, or at least very soon.

Leaving the "Brew Factor" out of it, I don't like the idea of short term deals.  All it does is undermine the permanent squad and their is no real incentive for the player coming in to perform at their best.

He's worth a run out yes, and as a player there would be less of ME, ME , ME for balls when he was player/manager, aye definately worth a run out, nothing to lose and faint heart never fecked a pig.

The biggest problem would be lack of match fitness. What's the point in offering a short term contract to a player who is likely to take half it's duration to get match fit ?
