Looks like our pre season will be down south.

July 12 Yeovil Town

14 Bristol Rovers

16 Plymouth Argyle

Will be going 'home' for the week to watch my home town team (Plymouth) play my adopted home town team.

Anyone else likely to be making the trip?

That's a cracking wee tour lined up, and having it all arranged well in advance is a big improvement on last year when we seemed to be scrabbling round for opponenents in the north-west.

We're away to Livingston on the 9th of July.

elgin away sat 2 july

buckie away tue 19 july

but yes this is perfect

So we have away games against

Reported in the Bristol Evening Post this evening ICT likely to be playing Bristol Rovers pre season (A dream come true for me) should be played at Bath City's Twerton Park due to work being carried out on Memorial Stadium pitch in the summer.

See you all there!!

Are these games confirmed or rumours / in the process of organising?

Confirmed on Bristol Rovers site. Game is to be played in Bath, but easy to get to and from Bristol.

Also comfirmed on Yeovil site.

Nothing on Plymouth site yet.

I would think the Saturday Plymouth game is a maybe. They are due to play Bristol City on the Friday evening.

I think it's safe to say that there'll probably be a friendly against Clach at Grant Street as well.

Posted

There wont be any home friendlies due to the poor drainage system at the stadium needing work done to improve it , going to cost the club somewhere in the region of ?80 000 .

ICT doesn't usually play pre-season games at home. Last year was an exception with the foriegn teams. Generally we'll play at the grounds of the teams close by to give them a wee financial boost.

Also comfirmed on Yeovil site.

"Yeovil Town have announced a second pre-season friendly against the recent conquerors of Celtic, Inverness Caledonian Thistle . . . " Good intro!

Thats a pretty expensive shovel.

I always enjoy pre-season games at smaill grounds like Clach, Forres and Buckie. You get right beside the players and can hear how they communicate on the park. It feels like you're part of the game in a way.

Report here says that we are travelling to Belfast to face Linfield on Sat 9th July.

STV

However, that is the same date that earlier sources are saying we are due to be playing at Livi, so I wouldn't book the ferry yet until something official is confirmed.

Posted

Unless ICT split the team in half and play two games at once, as they have done before.

Posted

Just to follow up on that, the Linfield and Livingston official websites both state that they are playing us on 9th July. Our official website says nothing.

I can't imagine we would be splitting our squad into 2 like we have sometimes done when facing Highland League teams, so it looks like somebody somewhere has got something wrong.
