It's the referee's duty to ensure that both goalkeepers are ready for the re-start.

What about quick free kicks that you see taken like Giggs v Lille? What is the difference there? Not having a go but would like to hear why they are different.

Very funny - Clacher.... ignore these humourless nit-pickers... I can mind Hamish McAlpine taking spot kicks at Dundee Utd years ago.... the real entertainment came about if the goalie saved one of his kicks and quickly hoofed the ball up the park.... which usually meant a goal at the other end..... :001:

Football was definitely more entertaining in these days.....not like the over-priced dire stuff we have to put up with now.... :024:
