I saw Grassa today at the train station in Perth, getting back on the 1455 train to Inverness... any thoughts about who he would be speaking to??  bear in mind that he could have been coming from Glasgow!

I thought he normally drove everywhere and was surprised when he phoned me from the station to go and pick him up to come and measure my windows :tic01:

He actually came down to Perth to give Caff his wages :003:

Probably went to that place at the bus station which sells fantastic bacon rolls :024:

That's the only logical reason for me anyway. Lashings of red sauce as well. Braw!

He didnt come from the Edinburgh direction (unless he chose another mode of transport)... because the train north from Perth at that time is the Edinburgh train...

Actually clubs and players often meet up in nearby Gleneagles to hold transfer and contract talks. Especially when it's a star player who they're trying to impress.

That was my first thought, Yngwie.  We are trying to get a young Celtic player and have made an offer to Clyde for Imrie, so either of these negtiations might have been carried out yesterday.

This thread seems to make the fundamental assumption that Graeme Bennett doesn't have anything else in his life apart from football.

And would this assumption be wrong?  :015: :015:  I suspect a day before the transfer window shuts, there is a fair chance he was on football business. Especially with the central belt players we are linked with at the moment.

Fingers crossed the young Celtic player is Jim O'Brien, who was on loan to Dunfermline last season!

He's 'rumoured' to be part of the offer to United for Robson
