Rossco

This board has so many armchair managers calling weekly for Rossco to be dropped, even when he is voted MOTM!!

On Saturday we experienced our defence, minus the said Rossco and I doubt if anyone can, hand on heart, state that we did not miss him.

'WELL and DRY' comes to mind.

He may not be every fans favourite but he has a presence that opponents do not like playing against and he seems to settle our defence.

I did not see, on Saturday, any evidence of a player making a play for his position!

For the record, why we did not play, as we did last week, along the ground especially against all that defensive height, beats me.

I watched an English top match at the weekend and the commentator even remarked on a right footed player playing on the left being 'nullified' as the defender knew he had to come 'inside' to cross the ball. This wing switching is OK to upset a defence during a game but not as a set tactic. Get the players on the correct wing, hit the byeline, cross onto the attacking forward (or backpeddling defenders) and even Barrowman could start scoring.(Easy, see this armchair thingie - magic!)

I think any effects of Roscoes abscence would have been magnified due to playing a capable Centre Half at Right Back, and a capable Right Back at Centre Half. Saturday was the proof, if any was needed, that Brew has no idea what he is doing. Its like he is making risky decisions in the hope they pay off and he looks like a tactical genuis.

We shouldnt be suprised by such moves under the leadership of the muppet we have calling the shots

I think we missed Tokely the attacker more than Tokely the defender.

There was a case to be made for playing proctor at right back i.e. he has more experience in that position than duff. But there was also a case for playing him at centre half i.e. he's been playing well in that position in recent weeks, and why unsettle the back 4 even more by making 2 changes rather than one. I would probably agree that proctor is our best right back, but the frustrating thing is I reckon if proctor HAD been played at right back and had a bad game we'd be hearing about what an idiot Brewster was for making that decision.

What we missed was a right back playing in the right back position. Brewster knew Conway would be played on their left wing, so why was Proctor not used effectively?

The claim of "I didn't want to make two changes" doesn't wash I'm afraid. IMO Brewster lay us down to be walked over by his beloved yinited.

You can f*ck right off Brew :rotflmao:

Well Jay 7 I simply don't agree with your above comment which is absurd. If ICT go down then Brew has no future and what team can he go to after that?

I also think that you should change your way of expressing yourself which does not enhance this forum and actually is quite abusive to the personalities we discuss on here. No doubt you are vocabulary challenged ? :rotflmao:

You're entitled to your opinion but I'll be making no apologies for how I feel and how that has been expressed. I'm not suggesting that he'd do against all opposition, just seems a bit too convenient that most basic of tactical blunders in defence can occur against the team that he loves. Call me cynical but I don't think Brewster was too disappointed to see his team win. Did you hear his comments on Conway?

Obviously as I have vented my frustration on a message board in the way that I have, that therefore must mean I have a limited vocabulary :rotflmao:
