Rowan Vine & Dean Shields

To Be honest I believe these two would be great signings for us, we seem to get the best of players on the out like rowan vine.

Did we not try and sign Dean Shiels years ago?  I'm sure it was when Charlie Christie was manager and he was at Hibs.

Not Vine, he was awful when we played Hibs, poor player IMO with a bad discipline record and that beard in itself should be enough to say - NO!!!

Personally I dont think we'll be signing anyone from outside. I'm sure Yogi said he'd rather concentrate on getting what he has on longer deals. i.e Williams and Tremarco.

Shiels would add a good option to the team, be very happy to see him sign. Vine is crap and should be kept well clear of.

Really don't rate Vine. Shiels would be excellent, but doubt there's money (certainly not to compete with the wages the wee team are paying him) and not sure he'd come....

Shields is on a few thousand a week at Sevco. We can‘t afford to pay that wages.... mind you neither can Sevco! He‘s fallen out of favour with Sally though, and he‘d be an excellent signing.

I don‘t rate Rowan Vine though.

And I'd love Sheils but he's still got 3 years on his deal so it's a no goer.

Thompson didn't shine at Hibs 2nd time round but we need cover in that position

Dean Shiels wont come here, unless it was a loan deal, and the lower league team would want us to pay the bulk of his wages I'd expect.

 

Kevin Thompson would be interesting, but i expect bigger payers will jump ahead in the queue

He might be decent as a foil for McKay but certainly not a replacement. He isn't going to score the goals but he might help make the space for others to do so.
