charles,

first, I am as happy as all on here after yesterdays result.
1st look we were 2 down, oh no.

2nd look we were 2-2, great.

Clicked to see who scored for us and it showed 3-2 win, YEEHA.

To my point you have produced a lot of stats, possibly from the BBC game report?

you haven’t mentioned the fact they were down to 10 men from the 74th minute of a 96 minute game that would have/ should have helped move the dominant numbers in our favour.

anyway heading off to the county v rangers game with the kids for my weekend footie fix.

well done to the team yesterday, great to get a late goal to win the game. Nothing better in football.

Well done storm Darragh??

At half time it was 10 shots to 2 and 56% possession.

I am really interested in the montrose goals. What could we improve . How did they get 100% conversion of chances. Do our set pieces still need work as we were hopeless under ferguson?

Yes indeed I didn’t mention the Montrose red card. Maybe I should have, but the post was long enough already. As I recollect the stats were looking overwhelming even before the sending off.

EDIT - and indeed I’ve just noticed that Moog has quoted 10 shots to 2 and 56% possession at half time.

I’m sure that it was the orange strips, launched on the 12th of July, that made the difference.😱😱

You can’t keep a good bigot down!

This was a bloody brilliant result...made all the better seeing goal notifications coming up late on the BBC results programme. I made quite a bit of noise with the 3rd goal!

We seem to be spreading our goals around the team, which is a good sign

Without the 15point deduction we'd be in 5th place just 5 points off the top spot....given our recent form, togetherness, and more positive approach to play, we'd feel very good about the end of the season. No reason to fear either Arbroath or Stenhousemuir coming up as long as we don't relax

Just watched the highlights, first was a looping header, keeper maybe misjudged it a bit, second was a punt up to the box, keeper was coming out to collect and Montrose player got a touch to it first and changed the trajectory, could argue communication between the keeper and the defence could have prevented that one.

The equaliser came from a quick free kick by us, don't remember seeing much in the highlights coming from set pieces. Their keeper did pull off a lot of good saves, and we missed some big chances

Honestly it's been a while since I had that feel good factor after the full time whistle.

Agreed we did work hard to get back in it after half time, but the game was won due to us playing some really good adventurous passing football.  No hitting it aimlessly long in desperation.

To be honest we battered Montrose, and the possession stats do not reflect the game.

Highlight for me, Gardyne baiting the supporters at 2 nil up, then sprinting down the tunnel at full time, head down refusing to look up at the stand.

By f ***k the guy fairly shifted off that pitch.

Here's the thing. Without administration and the removal of Ferguson we may have been no further up the table than we are now and still facing games with fear instead of hope.

In a weird twisted way administration may end up saving our league status. Hopefully things are going as well with saving the club off the park 🤞

I liked Ferguson. He tried really hard and did his best.

Trouble was, he was a sh!te manager!

Some of the greatest limbs in the away end since Cowdenbeath 3 ICT4 in October 1996 or the Hearts League Cup semi-final at Easter Road in 2014. I'm lucky enough to have been present at all three of these monumental comebacks but Saturday was extra special given the current circumstances. A massive shot in the arm for everyone involved in the club.  Onwards and upwards.

Interesting fact...

Before Saturday, the last time we recovered from a two-goal deficit to win a league match was a 3-2 victory over Celtic in December 2007

I remember that game well when Celtic scored the second goal a regular fan from the back of the north stand stormed off in a rage and missed our great comeback

Look at all those supporters around the ground. Where have they all gone?*

*Not that I get up for home games any more of course...
