Bit of downtime with the database server and webserver earlier? This site wasn't serving any webpages at all and the "Offline" site was reporting an IPS Driver Error.

Not sure about this site earlier as I've been out all morning and there's nothing in what I can see that indicated any prolonged issue.

For the offline site, it looks like our current host is getting upset that we're using another host for the workaround and have blocked external access to the Db.....just another tick in the "Reasons to move" column as far as I am concerned.

I tried on and off throughout the morning from around 0930 if that helps.

it was down for 3 ? hours between 10:30 and 2:00pm your time. Our provider noted it was due to a problem with the apache configuration on that server........

we are going to move from these hosts but as you can imagine, it is a big move so we need to make sure that

a] we are fully prepared.

and

b] we are confident that we wont encounter the same hassles with the new host.

we have moved all our other sites over to the new hosts and havent come up against any issues so when we get a quiet spell we will make arrangements.

The "arrangements" will also include the funeral ones for the other hosts, then?
