They have been drawn against Keith in the 19s scottish cup, with the game being played at the TCS on the Sunday between the Czech and Spain internationals. Im sure they would welcome support from those starved of live action. So if you want to see what the future might bring, head down to watch

Good to see the old BP Youth Cup coming round again and also getting a tie that we should win. Very annoyed however that we see very little posted either on here or on the official website about the U19's. Is it because we have yet to win a match in the SPL? This club has to learn that we need to know how these kids are getting on - NOT just when we are winning matches against CLUBS who genuinely make considerable investment in youth development! I firmly believe that individual progress and development is far more important than any team result at this level. Come on people, get a grip on reality - we will NEVER have 13 or 14 top quality youngsters at this level so we will struggle to win matches. However, if we have 2 or 3 diamonds making it to the next level we should consider this a bonus. Please keep us up to date.

dont know a time as yet. Caleyboy they are making progress.

ICT 0 ST J 2 First game back in spl, only 13 players with 2 keepers. Man sent off after about 25 mins for handball on line, went down only to a late strike from ST J

Motherwell 2 ICT 0 away to one of the better youth teams, ICT didnt get outplayed but failed to find the net and showed promise

Rangers 2 ICT 0 away again to a team who reportedly had a player Rangers paid ?100,000 for. Not a lot of difference between the teams apart from luck and a late late won it for the home team at Murray Park

ICT 1 Hibs 2 Home against a good Hibs youth, again holding their own but not having the luck infront of goal. Also suffering from a few players carrying knocks and coming back from injury. Hibs sharp infront of goal, but a goal from Chad with 10 mins to go but unfortunately they couldnt muster a leveler.

Hearts 4 ICT 3 desperately unlucky not to pick up a point. Hearts had been the better team and lead 3-1, but an inspirational fightback brought the teams level for Hearts to score a very late winner. Encouraging signs, and now showing their scoring touch through Calum Dingwall, Adam MacLeod and Neil Erskine.

Remember ICT are playing with just a couple of 18 year old, several 16s and two 15 year olds, so physically they are a year or so on average younger, and a year less of full time training. They have some very talented players, and with injuries, suspensions and international call ups have been thread bare for some games.

Liam Polworth has been on international duty, Kyle White too and came back injured, sent off player suspended, and Adam MacLeod coming back from a bad ankle ligament injury. The team is starting to make progress, and the next two games are against the two best teams in the league, Aberdeen and Celtic - both unbeaten and scoring goals for fun, but then they have 4 out of 5 games against teams in the bottom 6. A win will not be far away and then the confidence will grow, and Keith's Under 19s may help that progress. It will also be their first ever game at the TCS against Keith

Completely agree. I notice now that we dont even get first team match reports on the official site anymore.

Anyone know why the club have stopped match reports and seem to withold any information on youth teams?

We would be more than happy to carry any news/information that can be provided on the Youth Teams but it has proven difficult to do in the past. Things like fixture lists were forever changing, and when we couldn't keep on top of it or were not given details of changes we had people turning up at wrong locations at wrong times and/or on wrong days etc. This led to the one or two people we had willing to go along and do match reports etc getting hacked off at having time wasted or making plans only to have to change them last minute or whatever.

I don't know if the situation is still the same, but a few years back that very much seemed to be the nature of the beast with the youth leagues and not the fault of any individual or the club. It made it tough for us to keep accurate/complete records and as a result we dropped it due to it being more hassle than it was worth.

However, if anyone wants to provide match reports and updates then drop TM4TJ (Our Head of Editorial) a message and we'll see what we can do about incorporating them in to the site.

It's getting near the date for this game but still no info on kick-off time - please, someone - what time should we go to the Stadium. Also, is it pay-at-the-gate, or a freebie?

I understand that Keith game is to be a 2pm ko, but as CaleyD suggests, can change. Will endevour to make sure this is accurate. Its a second round game, with the clubs best performance at this level being a 5th round defeat ( SFA YOUTH website history / youth cup ). We tend to go out in the 3rd or 4th round, but hey thats when they come up against the teams paying transfer fees for their under 19s often.

Remember if you go along, it will be a very very young 19s team, with half the team 15 and 16!

As CaleyD suggests, it was the case that these games used to get switched according to the way the wind blew. However it is now a rarety that this occurrs, usually the games are at Charleston pitches for all the under 17s age groups. 19s games are listed with time and places on the SPL website, under the 19s link. They have been at Countys Highland Academy pitches so far, at the time listed on the website each game.

Just looked at the sfa website for the Youth Cup. Might be a decent game tomorrow, noticed that Keith beat Clach at Grant St park in the first round 8-4. Our lads played Clach early in pre season and beat them 5-0 a couple of nights after the North of Scotland cup game. One things for sure, we should see some Goals

ICT U19S 1 KEITH U19S 2. Cup shock delivered. Went to see the game, but somehow didnt expect this. Keith had been trained by Craig Levein for the first half, venturing upfield just 3 times, and they netted the opener in around 35 minutes, with the attacker sharper to a rebound from our keeper. Despite the pressure Caley were finding the final ball difficult to find and had around 12 - 14 corners in the first 45. Second half continued in the same vain initially, but after wethering the storm Keith gained in confidence, and for a good 20 mminutes it became almost end to end. Caley were found wanting when the ball was coming into the opposition box, with neither striker getting on the end of crosses or moves, but we managed to miss around 6 clear headers in the game. Sub Andrew Greig finally scored in injury time, and most thought we would squeeze through in extra time, but Keith hadnt read the script. Their keeper made a magnificent reaction save from a Polworth free kick and the resultant scramble the ball was hammered up field over the heads of everyone, and in a straight race Keith striker forced a save from Murray Kinnaird save but the rebound again fell into his path. More pressure was applied but Keith held on and celebrated well at the end.

ICT stuttered and had too many players below par. Best for us were probably Chad Stewart, David Chambers, Liam Polworth, and both strikers Calum Dingwall and Adam MacLeod having nice touches and layoffs but unfortunately not around the box where they were needed. We should have progressed, but due to stubborn and lucky defending, poor final ball and our poor defending to breaks, Keith possibly deserved the go through.

Next up Under 19s SPL leaders Aberdeen in Dingwall next week.

An absolute disgrace getting beat at this level by a SHFL youth side some of whom also played the day before. Was this an attitude problem? Was it a quality problem? If it was attitude the coach needs replacing! If it was a quality problem the whole structure needs an overhaul! Now I know why we don't hear very much about this squad. Sorry to be negative but this is the reward for doing everything on the cheap and the Club investing absolutely NOTHING in our youth programme! This is NOT the players fault - they are still learning - it is down to coaching, discipline and the teaching of good habits!

Keith were there for the taking - some of their boys were cramping up before we got to extra time. I thought David Chambers and Andy Greig did their best getting crosses into the box. We have strikers who are scared or unable to use their heads. I've been to most of the U19 matches and that's a fairly consistent pattern. There is good endeavour throughout the team, but the boys in the box don't really cut it just now.

It was difficult to know who our captain was. The only voice I could hear was our keeper's, giving direction. He was still dazed I think, after a head knock, when they scored a goal seconds later. He's also ended up with some facial stitches. Several weeks ago he suffered a nasty facial cut going in for the ball. He seems willing to put himself about. Martin Laing perhaps lacks something defensivley, but I thought he was very good going forward with some good positional vision and layoffs.

Midfield sometimes has a tendency to slow the ball down, and take the game backwards.

Our forwards don't gamble enough. They sometimes lack the vision to see space.

However, they are a young team by 19s standards. Their SPL performances have been ok - just don't look like scoring. I think some of them may have thought Keith would be a fairly easy game.

Brilliant! Who wrote that report? That basically means that if it hadn't been for, well, everything, ICT would have won!
