Regardless of individual opinions on the man himself my question is how many managers are MC going to sack before their next big success? This guy gets MC into Europe and FA Cup in his first full season. He then goes on to beat Chelsea in FA Shield, gets to FA Cup final and is 2nd in League with more Champions league football to look forward to. Yet he's seen as a failure and sacked. What the hell do the owners of MC expect of a manager?

Many. The same will happen to Ancelotti at PSG next year if he doesn't win the Champions League.

That's the way of the game now. Probably why more and more managers are opting to stay at their present clubs rather than jump ship, Terry for one. Terry has proven it takes a few years to really mould a team, and the Germans have shown what can be achieved with realistic expectations, patience, and taking a young team through a few seasons before they really get going, as with the Dutch. It's greed, it has pervaded every facet of life.

i used to have a soft spot for Man City, but i find that diluting as time goes on. They have just become another coprorate BEAST and the attitude of those in power sucks big time. Still that said.......they got a bit to go before they catch up with Blackburn Rovers.....there lies a case of a bunch of deluded idiots!

Simple. They expect the manager to win the league and cup and if possible the champions league too after the sheik pouring in £1billion !!!

Also 15% increase in cost of season tickets over the last two years with supporters predicting another rise this year .... just not as much as the 9% from last year ... although to be fair, they do have the second cheapest season tickets in the Premiership after Wigan !

Second in the EPL and FA cup runners up yet they get rid. Whats the world of football coming to?

Or another way to look at it is:

Second in the EPL by some distance to their nearest rivals

Beaten in teh FA CUp Final by a team that is going to be relegated from the EPL

Fell at the group stages of the Champions League again

Out in the 3rd round of the League Cup

To me man citeh epitomise everything that is wrong with and damaging to modern football.  I find it hard to get proper words for how much I dislike them...

Managers in days of yore got much more time but in days of yore managers didn't get salaries of six million pounds and half a billion pounds to spend on players.
