Is this really a surprise to anyone?

Chuck Blazer, the American guy who was ousted a couple of years ago has already admitted his guilt and apparently helped the FBI with all of this. He has yet to be sentenced but colon cancer may give him the death penalty before any judge sends him to jail

What next should all senior European teams resign from FIFA.

Have their own tournament somewhere  in Europe . That would put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Not realistic but something must be done. Marketing and organisation issues , T V rights is always open to bribes and bungs,

US are really miffed about losing the world cup vote. That's why I tagged " Hell Hath No Fury",

England are expected to go into bat on this one too, they are furious as well in losing the vote .

This investigation is not likely to result in reopening the bid processes for 2018 or 2020 as it centres mainly on allegationsof bribe taking in relation to the award of the 2010 tournament to South Africa.

Long, long overdue so hats off to the Yanks for seeing this one through.

Hopefully or more of those in for questioning will do a deal and give up evidence to incriminate Blatter - I'm longing to see the the headline in the Sun 'Blatter on a platter'

It is looking like a breakaway is now on the cards

Blatter re-elected. Won the first ballot 133-73 but needed 2/3 majority. Prince Ali withdraws before the second ballot.

Funny to hear English pundits calling for all Uefa teams to boycott the World Cup. Easy for England, considering they probably wouldn't even get through the group stage.

This could actually turn out pretty well for Scotland. If all the major countries boycott big tournaments, we might even manage to qualify!

We've been boycotting the world Cup ever since Blatter was elected in 1998 (our last brief appearance)

I hope there's a plan behind this or it could turn ugly.  Not that I wanted Sepp to stay...just afraid of a power vacuum.

Russia is employing " slave Labour" I e prisoners to build stadia

Quarter is employing immigrant labour at starvation rates to build theirs

If some European F As need to think about boycotting. then they should be applauded

Me and my spelling I should put more water in it

My post above should of course read Qatar
