Another big game.

Seems like virtually every game in this league is a 6 pointer!!

Win this and we'll go up to 5th only 2 behind QOS with games in hand over them.

Think it's fair to say that results went in our favour tod apart from QOS beating Dunfermline.

After the Hearts game and the way the team played which was good it is a must win game for us which I think we will do and get the 3 points!

A 2nd place finish is still achievable, not just the playoffs.

All the games yesterday were kind to us.

The team have to make those games in hand count though.

The Scotty Gardiner grudge game.

After two home games, both ending in draws, on Tuesday night it's the City of Discovery that awaits and a visit to Dens Park, probably without a couple of our more influential players. The game is a 7:00pm kick-off and can be streamed from Dee TV for £12.50. Dundee have only played two games in February whilst we have been playing catch-up. Both sides sit outside the top four with Dundee two points ahead of the Caley Jags on nineteen points. We have a busy time coming up for March with six games scheduled starting at Dens Park.

Dundee fans are still seething after some twisted information on Dundee's last visit when their chairman was left hanging by a thread according to some bitter Dee's. Good enough given the way their own club has handled some of the recent votes regarding possible league reconstruction. Short memories. Anyway, they have never really forgiven us for overturning a 15 point deficit to win the Championship by 12 points in 2010. Happy Days!

I fear this game could now swing in the direction of the McCann Moanfest as he takes charge of his second game in the dugout with Robbo still on leave. Yes, Dundee fans have a long memory and although he did well in his stint as temporary manager five years ago, they were very critical of his managerial credentials once he got the job on a permanent basis. Anyway, his first game on Friday night was a credible 1-1 draw with leaders Hearts who came from behind for the third game in a row to earn a point. Liam Boyce bagging the leveller after Mr Muscle Miles Storey scored in the tenth minute.

Dundee boss (for now), Jake McPake, has a fairly extensive squad to pick from and the addition of Osman Sow, Paul McMullan and Jason Cumming will boost their chances of at least a play off spot come the end of the season. Factor in the experience of Charlie Adam and Paul McGowan then it's a daunting task for our dishevelled squad.

Rumour has it that Charlie Adam could be one of the two people at Dens Park who could be self isolating after covid testing revealed a positive result, and anyone in contact will also miss out.

We seem to be no further forward with our injury situation so that should mean that the four longer term casualties are Lewis Toshney, Kevin McHattie,  Aaron Doran and Anthony McDonald. James Vincent has missed the last couple of games but is back in training.

***Latest Team News***

Neil McCann has said that Anthony McDonald is the worst of our injured players with the rest of the crocks back in training. So, it seems that we are getting there and yes, Lewis Toshney is a real thing.

Dundee XI (v Morton): Hamilton, Elliot, Ashcroft, Fontaine, Marshall, Robertson (Anderson 60′), Byrne (McDaid 74′), McGowan, McMullan, Sow (Mullen 63′), Cummings

Here's Neil...

Why David Carson on the bench ?  He’s been in the SPFL team of the week the last two weeks after months out due to injury.

Maybe needing rested slightly after three games in eight days?

No sign of MacGregor tonight: injured?

4 4 2 again?

I think you've answered your own question potentially. He's been out of action for a long time and played two full games and 2/3rds of another of the last three in just over a week. Probably needs a breather.

I think we're lucky in that we have 3 very good midfielders to fill 2 positions. It's probably the position that we are strongest in. I agree I would of liked Carson to start but as others have said he's just back from long term injury. I'm sure Welsh and Allerdice will do a good job and if needed we have a quality sub in Carson waiting to come on and make an impact.

Against Hearts Carson was really getting forward and supporting the front players. Be interesting to see if Allardice is asked to do the same role or if that was just Carson's natural energy/enthusiasm getting him from box to box

I’ve no sound yet. What’s the difference between home team video and away team video? Look the same to me and neither has sound.

1 down.

Dundee had started best and been threatening.

We need to get back into this as we’ve been poor so far.

We really must improve defending balls into the box. We are conceding a stupid amount of goals from crosses, corners or long throws.
