The grassy knoll.....was Clarkson tackled unfairly?

In years to come we will see videos, academic papers, eyewitness accounts, and the Freelander video all justifying or criticising the penalty. There will be the conspiracy theories. Fraser says 'no penalty'. Munro says 'he's a diver'. Some of our supporters at the match thought it was a penalty. TV evidence so far suggests a skilfull bit of acting by Clarkson. In decades to come will you remember where you were when Clarkson crashed on the grassy knoll?

Didn't think it was a penalty, Clarkson had the pace over Munro, Munro dived in missed the ball and as soon as Clarkson saw him go down he just fell over.  Can't really blame the ref though (although at the time I did) as soon as Munro dived in the decision was easy for the ref!

im sure clarkson was sent off against us a couple of seasons ago for diving in pretty much the same position. watched it last night and there looks like there is contact but clarkson has made the most of it. Granty should have known better

Stonewaller!!

As soon Granty lunged in it was clear a penalty was going to be given. I feel even more persuaded now that I've seen it on TV.

On the subject of penalties - we seem to have a lot more given against us compared to the number we get awarded. Juanjo, where are you?

Water under the bridge now, we all know that there are players who are adept at winning penalties, our own Barry Wilson is one of the best exponents of the art.

If Barry had done the same at the other end we'd have been having a great laugh at the 'Well protests, so no point in gurning.

Was it not similar to the one Dods gifted Well up in Inverness in the last minute, bringing down Macdonald needlessly from a similar position. Difficult for the ref to give anything else but both needlessly given away. Grantie should question himself and not the guy who fell over his outstretched leg.

Steep learning curve for the cap'n.
