Gary Wood scored again for Formantine today in a 5-1 win over Clach.  I notice an S Leslie scored for Clach.  Not sure if that is our ex player Stuart Leslie.  Anyone know?

It is him, indeed! You don't miss a trick!

Also, perhaps for this section - congrats to Zander Sutherland and the rest at Brora Rangers. They won the Highland League Cup (knockout-tourney) this afternoon, for the first time in their history! At the 70th time of asking!
A 0-0 draw after-extra-time against Nairn County, resulted in penalties...and Brora won 5-4. Zander netted the decisive kick.

Good to see Cove, a team wanting to progress up the leagues win the league a few days ago.  I think I quite fancy Edinburgh to win promotion this year though.

There really needs to be a change in the set up in the highland league,  The gulf between the top and bottom of the highland league is incredible.  I'd cut them down to two divisions and add in the top half of the better junior sides into a highland league 2.

On Friday night, Toby Agdestein finally scored his first goal for Haugesund!

More to the point, it was the striker's first goal ever, at his 4th professional club!

Barring a few evening matches, all I spotted today were -

Rooney and Hayes for Aberdeen in their 4-1 win over Motherwell

and a double for Ben Greenhalgh for Concord Rangers in a 2-2 draw at Maidenhead

So more current ICT players scored this Saturday than ex ICT players.  Can't be often that happens

Just found out that Ibra Sekajja, who I thought was at Braintree, has dropped down a league to National League South and is playing for Hemel Hemstead Town, and has scored twice during April!

Toby Agestein on target again this evening with a goal in a 4-1, away from home, Norwegian cup win.  That's six in six matches now since scoring his first just under three weeks ago.

Two more for Sam Winnall today (8 May), in a 4-1 win for Barnsley at Wigan.  (As an aside, I notice Marley Watkins has not played for Barnsley for weeks now, not even on the bench. Don't know if he has a long term injury, or just out of favour!)
