Tomorrow we are playing Dundee United at The Highland Football Academy in Dingwall, with them looking to make it 4 wins from 4 this season so far.

Something else the appallingly uninformative official website could do is to keep us up to date with the progress of our clearly talented under 18 side.

Whatever happened to the Chairman's undertaking to improve communication ?

just more talk talk talk with absolutely no sincerity.

Sadly, events seem to suggest that that is true. Such a pity, no club of our size can flourish without there being a dialogue with the fans and, although there may have been issues with that dialogue in the past, it now seems virtually non existent.

Fine words in the Chairman's statement issued last year backed up by no action whatsoever.

Thanks for this caleydawson I could not manage to this game today but if you know the fixture list for these games can you put them on this thread and we might get some more support for the youngsters.

I have put levels next to  the fixtures kindly provided by caleydawson

  • We get to play an ELITE team once:  Aberdeen, Celtic, Hamilton, Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian, Kilmarnock, Motherwell, Rangers.
  • We play PROGRESSIVE (same level) teams:  Ayr United, Dundee United, Partick Thistle,  Ross County, St Mirren, St Johnstone, Greenock Morton
  • And then also these teams at a PERFORMANCE lower level (apparently) Dundee, Fife Elite Football Academy, Queen’s Park.

I don't think there is a league table.  SFA haven't updated their website from U17 of last season.  Celtic, Hearts, Hibs haven't either.  The notion I recall is that Elite play each other three times.  But as far as I can see, the U18s (which is new from this month - didn't exist before) in which our successful U17s are now in is shrouded in mystery.  Is it two groups (explaining the 50/50 split of elite teams we play)?  No idea.

Henry McCleish was pretty scathing on it all, saying it is just benefitting the top-tier clubs.  Playing Dundee and Fife Elite twice is not consistent with the terms originally outlined.  It is proving to be a very opaque, complicated and expensive system

I've struggled to find a league table among any of the clubs we have played so far most don't even acknowledge they have an U18 team same with FA they don't have anything about it.

i dont see how you can have a league table if you are not playing all clubs the same number of times and not playing some clubs at all.

Martin.  He played for both Fort William on loan and ICT U17 last season but was injured for a bit.  Todd Morrison deputised a fair bit too, as did some others.

surely that's the clubs job. that's if they have any interest.?

It's also the club's job to produce a team capable of beating ten part time players at home. They don't seem much good at that either.

Team against St J tonight: Mackinnon, Hastings, Fyffe, Nicholson, Harper, Hyde, Brown, Gunn, MacGregor, Mackay, Kennedy.   Subs: Harkness, Innes, Gamble, Russell

Jack Brown puts caley 1-0 up

HT 1-0 Caley however Mackinnon has gone off injured and with no sub goalie available Gabriel Hastings (son of Richard) has had to go in goals for the second half.

Good start to the second half, 2-0 up now Daniel Mackay

FT 2-0 back to winning ways for the U18s and lasting 45 minutes without a proper keeper aswell, looking forward to seeing Jack brown being given a chance in the first team, a very good talent and could go far if given the chance.

Fine result against a Premiership club especially with an outfield player in goal.
