Just a few minutes until the Colin Powell Testimonial kicks off here at The Valley. @CAFCofficial v @ICTFC

Charlton Athletic FC @CAFCofficial

We are off and under way at The Valley!

5' Charlton with the first foray into the final third, competently dealt with. Follow up corner a bit more challenging, but cleared.

7' Now a first chance for ICT too, as Liam Polworth curls just over from a free-kick from about 20 yards. 0-0 here.

11' Charlton #14, Pritchard, with a half chance from a tight angle, but it carries across goal and safely out.

Ahhh... That makes more sense. At Arbroath I thought Brill was shouting 'shite, shite'... turns out it was 'shape, shape':laugh:

LIVE COMMENTARY: Listen to Charlton v @ictfc here --> http://bit.ly/17KJCGk  #cafc :smile:

13' A wee spell of pressure from Charlton who are closing down quick and not allowing any time on the ball for us.

18' WOODWORK! Ross Draper hits the post for ICT. A scuffed pass fortunately fell to him, but a great effort from the edge of the box

20' Free Kick - Polworth crosses it to Meekings at back post, headed back across goal, Draper shot smothered by Charlton keeper.

Charlton Athletic FC @CAFCofficial

21' Nice throw-in set-piece finds Pritchard, but, for the second his time today, his shot goes out for a, erm, throw-in....again

26 minutes gone and still @CAFCofficial 0 v 0 @ICTFC tempting fate..................

28' Not the best quick free-kick I've ever seen, as ICT play it straight to Johnnie Jackson, but his pass to Yann is just off

30' Chance! Gower intercepts and frees Harriott whose cross is met Well by Kermorgant, but Brill saves low down. 0-0

33' Doran with shot on target, Mckay pounces on the rebound and a hint that he might have been fouled in the box...nothing given.

Charlton Athletic FC @CAFCofficial

A sight no Charlton fan wants to see as Yann collides heavily with an ad board. Early estimates are the board is out for 6-8 weeks.

Lot of movement and fluidity in our setup...aside from back 4 & Brill, not sure anyone else has a fixed position. @ICTFC

42' Free Kick to Caley Thistle 35 out. Williams inches away from finding the head of Warren at the back (right) post. :slapme:

Official ICTFC @ICTFC 8s

Raven ball in is just missed by Mckay, second ball from Doran comes off Mckays head and goes narrowly wide...last play of the half.

Half Time 0-0. Really impressed with @ICTFC today, especially Doran, Meekings, Shinnie and Draper who have all been excellent. :ictscarf:

50' That's the rain started...hope it doesn't develop into the "biblical downpours" that were forecast.

@CAFCofficial v @ICTFC Amazing Inverness supporters, would have been shorter for them to travel to the Faroe Islands then SE7. #respect :notworthy:

GOAL - Blues 2 (Andy Shinnie 47) Hull City 0. Scott Allan dispossess James Chester and sets up Andy Shinnie for a tap in. Birmingham City

lynne macdonald @lynneictfan 1m

@ICTFC sounds like the guys are doing us proud :-)

69' Great defending by Shinnie to deny Charlton what might have been a golden opportunity.

Doran looking more keen to run at defenders in the second half...we'll not dwell on the final shot from that one...a tad wide.

Shot from Charlton #11 equal to Dorans last effort.

Oh Golly................Change for @ICTFC as Shnnie is replaced by Tremarco. Ben Greenhalgh also came on a few minutes ago for Caley. Still 0-0 here :yawn01:

GOALLLLLLLLLLL - Meekings buries it from a Doran cross.

I kid you not... @JoshMeekings6 just scored one of the best ever @ICTFC goals I've seen! Incredible.

Charlton Athletic FC @CAFCofficial

Goal! Inverness take the lead!

Charlton look to have come alive a bit following that, Warren keeping out a shot rocketed at goal.

Alasdair Fraser @AllPtsNorth

Meekings 1-0 ICT. Started move with a lung-busting burst from deep then placed Doran's cross into corner of net like a striker.

25 yard free kick for Charlton, straight into wall. Greenhalgh tripped as he gathers a head of steam and looks to counter attack.

FT: @CAFCofficial 0 v 1 @ictfc - Good luck to Charlton for the season ahead. All the best to Colin Powell.

Great result. Real confidence booster going into the start of the season. Any of the new boys stand out against stern opposition?

A great result and should set us up for the start of the season. I heard Doran took a knock and was taken off...probably precautionary.

I noticed St Mirren and Dundee Utd invaded England today and also came away with 1-0 wins.

Just wanted to say thanks guys and girls for coming down for the game, and well done with the result today. Colin Powell would have appreciated the turn out from ICT fans for his testimonial, and if you play like that this season youll storm the SPL. We are all a bit worried about the season ahead at Charlton but we will see how we go....

Anyways, hope to play you guys again in the future, maybe at your place next time around!

Just got back to rainy Berkshire after a great day out with two of my ICT 'converts'. (Reading supporters really). We found the Charlton supporters in all the pubs we tried (Pickwick, Rose of Denmark and Antigallican)really friendly and welcoming.

As to the game itself, first off a huge round of applause to our small but loud support who sang and encouraged the team from before the game started until after it finished.

Charlton were a decent Championship side last season and today we matched them in every facet of the game. Great to see us playing on the ground, possession football. Hardly a sign of the old hoof ball. By my reckoning we had 4 chances to their one in the first half. The second half was closer, separated only by our fantastic goal. Charlton came at us hard for the last 10 minutes, after we scored, but apart from this spell never really looked threatening.

Great to see our back 4 covering each other so well if anyone got in trouble.

I'm hugely encouraged by this result, surely our best pre season result of the past few weeks, and will do no end of good to the confidence of the team.

Roll on the 'real thing' next Saturday.
