I don't wish to go over old ground yet again, but I wish people would remember what happened after Munro went.  Our defence was a shambles the following season and we were bad enough to be relegated - only saved by a bankrupt Dunfermline and a dire Hibs side.

We perhaps moved Munro on a season or 2 early. The decision being a touch premature. But it would likely have had to be made at some point down the line. Perhaps releasing 3 stalwarts all in one go being a tad ott but it would have been a problem at some point. As a manager you have to make brave calls. As at the end of the day a bad run can see you sacked.

Also worth remembering we lost Adam Rooney, our top scorer, that summer as well.

I see Andrew Blake is now on trial with Hibs.  Thought he looked alright but nothing overly special to be honest.

Joe_Chalmers_InvernessCT_680.jpgInverness CT have, today, signed defender Joe Chalmers on a two year deal.

The twenty three old, who has represented Scotland at every level up to Under 21’s, spent the last two years at Motherwell having started on the books of Celtic.

Chalmers made his senior Hoops debut at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in 2012 and has also had a loan spell at Falkirk.

The Twitter account 'Mr Fly On The Wall' says that the striker is Curacao international Felitciano Zschusschen.  Formerly of FC Twente and now in the German fourth tier at Saarbrucken.

Aye, that account has been wrong on many occasions in the past but has been pretty much on the money recently. Zschusschen. was on trial with Dundee Utd at the end of last year but didn't get offered a deal.

Here he is

Is there any chance we will learn the new squad numbers before Saturdays match ? With so many new faces I would think it would be of great value to the fans if  we do.

The squad list on the club website only has the seven new players listed, all showing squad number 0, so no hints there!

Lets hope we can sign another 4 before Saturday so we can have 11 players starting!

It is astonishing that the club's official website does not list the existing contracted players in the squad list.  What is even worse is that in the "team news" section, the only bit of news listed since the new manager came in is that the Krankies paid a visit to the stadium.  Robbo is quoted as saying "unfortunately we won't be signing them".

Words fail me.

The Krankies might be more entertaining than some of last seasons football...

We were linked with this guy last year. Who actually identifies our targets?

Would be slightly surprised if it's Zscusschen that's unveiled today considering he is currently in the US playing for Curacao in the Gold Cup.

I wondered if it might have been Nigel Hasselbaink but I think he's signed for a Greek team or something.
