Scotland v England!

"France replaced the Netherlands in the top five as European sides once again dominate the table in terms of numbers; while the top two are South American, fully fifteen of the top twenty sides hail from UEFA.

Nigeria are the top African team after rising to 19th place, while Japan lead the Asian contingent after jumping four places to 30th.

While the FIFA rankings were formerly a mere curiousity item, they have recently taken on an extra measure of significance due to the fact that UEFA nations, and others, are set to use them as the basis for World Cup 2010 qualification seeding.

As such, the likes of Scotland - who once again moved up one place to 13th - could be in Pot 2 for the qualifiers, having been in Pot 4 for the Euro 2008 campaign.

India remain constant on 156, China dropped two places to 91, Australia moved down four ranks to joint-52 with Saudi Arabia.

Georgia were the biggest winners, jumping 33 places to 71st, while Cape Verde fell 36 down to 112 in the biggest drop."

Hard to remember the last time India or China competed against 'Top 50' opposition...so how on earth are they expected to make any impression on this beauty contest?

FIFA rankings are bumkin.

I'll go with that!
