Ronaldo To Madrid

Are you talking about Spain or England?

Depends who Man United spend the money on. Maybe Ribery although Madrid were rumoured to be after him as well. Shame Barcelona will still be better than Madrid next year despite spending ?130 million on two new players. Bring on the new Spanish season!

Well now you mention it both.

Man U are losing there best player and they do have money from it but Ronaldo is a very hard act to follow.

Real Madrid are signing 2 of the world greats in a week while Barcelona admit they have a limited budget this summer.

Certainly going to be competitive.

We missed our chance

We could easily put in a bid for Ronaldo just now.

Swap for Imrie and ?50,000 extra?

Hopefully with Ronaldo leaving, then other teams such as Liverpool, Everton etc can have a chance of winning the league. Just hope Sir Alex Ferguson does the right thing and puts its in his bank and live off the intrest

It will be more competitive but Barcelona will still be better. Madrid are still negating to sort out their woeful defence which will have the not so defensive skills of Pepe, Metzelder and Heinze in it next year. Most La Liga teams will tear that to shreds. No doubt they will pose a massive threat when attacking but you need a solid backline and the Real defence is far from solid. During the last Galaticos era of Zidane, Backham and Figo the amount of money invested in the team didn't translate into trophies. This was a time when they had defenders such as Raul Bravo () and Walter Samuel playing for them who were atrocious.

Federico Macheda is far better

At keeping his hair styled on the pitch? Yes. I think you are deluding yourself if you think he is a better footballer than Ronaldo.

Thank god we don't have to put up with another summer of crap about this.

And with Kaka out of the way as well, then we can concentrate on the more important Messi and Aguero to replace Morais and Foran rumours.

Stupid money. There should be caps and stuff on things like that.

Totally agree with that...and i would go one step further...I would enforce a cap on wages. ANY person in the world, who couldnt survive off say ?10 000 per week MAXIMUM.....should cut their losses and get a dose of reality. Also....it would hopefully bring down admission prices!

Apparently Kaka and Ronaldo will earn ?200,000 a week.

That makes football sh*t. Giving players that kind off money for only working a few hours a day and then playing a 90 min game of football at the end of the week

Is this sort of thing sustainable in the long run ? Footballers like Ronaldo and Kaka are on money that just further distances them from the fans. They now inhabit an alternative universe.
