Sustainability

Walking on air, amongst the glum Tickers yesterday afternoon, but woke up this morning thinking, how long can this go on for.

The main threats to the sustainabiity of our great current performances are...

1    Loss of fitness

2    Loss of effort

3    Suspensions

4    Injuries

5    Transfers out in January

1    Can't see this happening, as Mr. B has them working hard and performing, like they did before he left.

2    Ties into 1. Will they burn out, lose motivation. They are giving it loads these days. Can that be maintained, only B knows the best stick and carrot balance

3    As we have seen with our alternating RBs tis will test. We need more depth of pool in defence certainly, if every result means a card or two for a defender. Perhaps less noticable in other areas.

4    Without a doubt our performance is getting noted by the other teams in the league, and, as we have seen from Blackie, they will carry on niggling key players. Have we the depth of pool to cover in mid and striker areas? Two of our top strikers are currently out. Three if your count McDonald.

5.    There have been rumours, but chequebooks must be opened.  Here's hoping Craig can sell who he wants, and only who he wants,  and get some cover for crucial areas, though we are always vulnerable to lightening strikes from bigger clubs, like Dundee Utd... :tic01:

It cannot be sustained - Strachan said they should have walked it easily. Have to agree that the four victories have been four of the jammiest we have ever had.

Hopefully next Saturday's performance will have no jammiest about it! Tynecastle is a very tough place to go - ask Celtic. Falkirk are a difficult team away. Kilmarnock nearly always win here. We cannae beat the Dons here let alone away.

Mind you Craig will want a few more results in December for Manager of the Month and then we go to pieces in January.

Strachan is a pathetic bitter wee nyaff who can't admit to being outplayed by eleven and then ten men who cost less than a packet of digestive biscuits.

Of course we can do five in a row. Hearts are a bottom six club, and we are a top six club  :022:

And at least our players can recognise each other on the park...

Jammie!!

I really don't get it. We hammered a team who are in the last 16 in Europe. Their 2 goal were agains the run of play in a cruel 2 minutes. Don't listen to Strachan...we were immense.

I do agree with you we were immense the team's effort and fight were immense, Brewstard tactics were too but we hardly hammered them we had a couple of breaks of fortune, Hessilink striking the post, Proctor's nudge on Hessilink in the box at 2-2, the offside Celtic goal (a correct decision but could easily have gone the other way) and Fraser's save was pure class but I have seen him rooted to the spot for easier ones. A great team effort and deserved victory but a hammering? No.
