Following on from the other thread where the 14 team SPL has been sounded out. There is support for and against a 14 team league however there are varying views on whether this is the best way forward.

Going into more detail, if the 14 team top league isnt what the fans want then what are the most popular alternatives?

Yup, same. I read the promotion / relegation bit as being automatic - the play offs could have the 3rd and 4th top / bottom play off or some such combination but that could be too much, so a straight 3rd top / bottom play off would add that little bit of end-of-season interest.

I also thought that the regulating body should be kept separate from the operating body, but there should only be one league body.
