I'm a bit surprised by some of these names. Cammy Bell has looked incredible this season. Thought Cillian Sheridan would have got a new contract with Celtic. Doubt he'll be short of offers. The Paixao boys have done well this season and surely Imrie can't be out of contract?? And I'm pretty sure Scott Severin is under contract in England.

If the St Mirrens and St Johnstones ones are correct, I'd be happy to get pretty much any of them.

Adam Virgo will be a free agent in the summer after Brighton told him he wouldn't be offered a new contract. Wasn't he linked with us a couple of years ago? Could be a possibility if we can't get Mihadjuks back.

I've suddenly become delighted at Latviaman's words. Get Pavels back, he is by far the best defender that has played for us.

I would also love to see us get Moutinho and or Mehmtt should one of their teams go down anyway, but I'd suspect others would be after them.

Mehmet is a bit like Graham Bayne - lacking in footballing ability but a good old fashioned target man. I wasn't a huge fan of Bayne but I thought he did well for us. I remember when he gave Boumsong an absolute hounding at Pittodrie a few seasons back. He (Boumsong) was never the same afterwards.

Aye Pavels was great but I don't think he was as good as Dods! He was a complete machine!! Don't think we've been the same defensively since Dods went! I have always thought Mehmet was a decent player and with Rooney would create quite a physical presence up front which I feel we could maybe lack going into next season!

I do not believe that we should ever re-hire a player who left us willingly. They, IMHO, have shown only a deep regard for themselves and not the club :D

The same goes for any former employee of the club. As we have seen: Craig Brewster springs to mind.

Rant over. :(

I know Dunfermline arent SPL but look at the players they let go off...

(From the pars website)

Jim McIntyre has made central defender, Chris Higgins available for transfer and the five players who have been released from their contracts are Greg Ross, Scott Muirhead, Ross Campbell, Graeme Holmes and Stephen Glass

Thoughts?

Really? I assume you thought the same of the likes of Wilson and Wyness?

If it is Mihadjuks that you are referring to, he wasn't offered a new contract.
