How dare you if its not bad enough that the nasty little greys

are taking over you have to murder them too

The greys don't murder them at all. They are simple better adapted to make use of the available food in areas where the two species co exist. There has been one documented case where reds and greys have actually come to blows but the two generally avoid each other.

Years ago but........I've had 3 cars from auctions, 2 of which went for years with bearly a problem, then there was the Fiat Tipo TD............a whole different story. Had to be that car, and no-one could tell me different. I went right to the edge of my budget for the cash I had on me. It was a wee cracker and I got it from Kinross auction. No indemnity came with it, but it wasn't that old a car, so thought it would be fine. Tried to drive it out of the auction and only had 2 gears - 1st and reverse. New Gearbox cost me £900 and it was in the garage for weeks. Also so much for the TD....the turbo was goosed.

My sisters hubby has easily bought 8/9 and all have been long term cars over the last 20 years

Motto is, auctions can be great but ALWAYS GET INDEMNITY.

Good luck rig

All my early cars were bought privately.

15 years ago when I was skint, 2 young kids and all that, and had a 13 year old Cavalier, I went to the auctions and got a Citroen BX Diesel for £2500 with about 97000 on the clock.

Kept it for 2 years then went back to the auctions and got a much better one. £3500 this time, 85000 miles, kept it for nearly 5 years to 140000 miles. Unfortunately I blew the cylinder head coming back from Sneck with a burst hose.

I would still buy from auctions if I was short of dosh but now I use a dealer, some of them go out of their way to help you if you're a regular customer .
