Clubs like Clyde deserve all the support and help they can get. Proper football club even if the did once employ Graham Roberts!!! Solutions must be found to ensure that they survive and it will be a sad reflection on all if a long term solution cannot be found.

Totally different from the cheque book Livi approach.

We may pop and rant at the board from time to time but at the end of the day they keep up with in our means and afloat, I have running battles in work about SPL/SFL banter but just the other week a Hibs fan turned and said out off all the clubs supported in the office ICT were the only Finacially sound team over all the best run... At the end of the day who do we have to thank for that...

Our current situation came at a cost...we have no assets of any real value...and it wouldn't take much to send us the way of others, so I wouldn't be so quick to make any assumptions about our financial position.

It's about time that Scottish football started again, focusing on community clubs instead of those 'historical' clubs cluttering up the leagues. The likes of Stenhousemuir or Alloa are leftovers from the past, with too many teams in the same area (e.g. Airdrie, Hamilton, Clyde). How about two leagues of 16, filled with the larger clubs, plus representatives of various areas, e.g. Stranraer, Queen of the South, Forfar, Livingstone etc etc.

No chance of that then!

Theoretically mergers would be the most financially sound routes to take...

However could you see the likes of caley merging with county?

The clubs need to address match days and look again at what's on offer to people. I think summmer football would be a good move in terms of increasing gates
