He's simply a 🛎️🔚, not worthy of being included in the discussion anymore.

This is our biggest achievement since winning the cup, especially when you consider how it was achieved so I hope Mr Moodie and the supporters trust enjoy the staying up party now!!

I've never been emotional about certain results, even the first relegation under Tel way back but tonight is the exception because I'm just so proud of the effort put in to get to this point!!

To quote Danny Devine when he spoke in the bar after the game, “it was never in f***ing doubt”.

All in all a very decent season given the turmoil and to have a record that would otherwise have us 2nd in the table without the deduction is very good going.

Absolutely, couldn’t agree more. The club and we the fans more importantly, need to move on and focus on what and how we structure and prepare for next season.
For the club that is get out of Administration, get in place a proper commercial operating model and re-engage with the business community. Establish and secure a playing squad capable of challenging for promotion. Set in place a fan recruitment programme.

For us, (me) the fans, it’s threefold;

 # Get behind the team next season. That’s not blind support, criticism is healthy, more noise please.
# Buy your season tickets and shake out drop out fans to come back.
# Bring your kids and friends along.

The achievement by AS, Kells and the team is exceptional. Let’s learn from the past errors and try and avoid them in future. Promotion hopefully this time next year.

Just wondering what we could do to encourage more younger fans, we have a fair amount of older seasoned fans but I'd say we lack younger generations.

Was on a break in Ayr a few weeks ago and attended Ayr v Falkirk and the place was bouncing due to a huge amount of young fans attending.

I think we have a really sizeable young loyal following. I was really annoyed when the 16-25 ST was withdrawn as this is the age group we need to encourage. A lot of the young ones have Saturday jobs or find football expensive but I think we compare with any other club of our size.

You obviously were not on pub pre match Sat. Place was bouncing with young team.

The club need to get the pricing right (again), and from there it's up to the team to entertain and fans to do what they can to bring others along.

On the pricing....

I'd do away with different pricing for Main and North Stands.

Nobody under 12 should pay.

12 to 16 should be a nominal cost.

Bring back the 16-25

Then full adult prices above that....I may even be tempted to scrap, or at least reduce the cost benefit, on over 65 tickets....I await the backlash 😂

Things like the "pay what you want" also worked well, and something like that near the start of the season might get a few new people in early.

Friends for a fiver tended to be 'abused' because it was mostly used to get those already paying as they go in for less.

Couple of historical bugbears that need dealing with....

Stop certain Directors from handing out handfuls of free tickets to their mates for every game!

Stop players from giving out free tickets to fans who then go around behaving like they're the best supporters in the world while scrounging freebies and not financially contributing 🤷‍♂️.....I await some comments on this point also 😂

Given the fact that all trade creditors, which will be mostly local businesses, aren't going to get paid what they are due, rebuilding that relationship might be tough.

An example of age discrimination sometimes being permitted. Pensioner discounts arose a century ago on the presumption that pensioners were poor, and of course many still are, but the wealthiest people I have known in my life have all been over 65. It’s obviously not possible for football clubs to do means testing, and I don’t know what the answer is, but reducing the discount doesn’t seem unreasonable to me.

However, I reserve the right to take a different view when I reach 65!

I think (within football) there was also an assumption that older fans had contributed longer, so it was a bit of a loyalty discount.

Maybe that's a way to go....like a no claims bonus, you get a little off each continuous year you've held a ST 🤷‍♂️

We're essentially starting at ground zero, so all adults get a chance to build up to full discount over the next 3 to 5 years or something.

As a whole I'd say a switch to Scandinavian league dates (summer football) may well help.

When I stopped going to ICT games due to Gardiner etc still being at the club, it became difficult to start going back to winter time matches, then the 'habit' changed to just not going at all.

Now I am in my 40s I find the cold nights / winter Saturday afternoons sitting at a football ground not enjoyable.

Thats how it works for me in Toronto.  I am in a group that committed to season tickets in 2006, just after we got accepted into MLS but before we had an actual team, a manager, a stadium or even a formally agreed name. My price is still a little lower than people in my same section who have purchased in the last 5-10 years although the gap has narrowed.

Getting a discount does work and in ICT's case could perhaps make you feel you belong again. There may be some residual irritation from some supporters at losing shares so language also matters and addressing season ticket holders as 'members' and giving a 'member discount' for continued season ticket renewals might be a way to hit two birds with one stone. I think the loss of revenue could easily be made up with merchandise, program, or food sales ... or from more profits in Bar 94 which seems to be doing well thanks to the ST.

As much as administration was a hard slog and SG was almost universally despised within the ICT support, it has galvanised us. We are far closer to being a community again than we have at any point in the last 7 or 8 years, more willing to work together, and the club has got back to basics and seems less arrogant about everything.

If you were at Montrose on Saturday you would have been encouraged by the huge number of youngsters we had along. There have often been false dawns it has to be said but since Kell took over the life has certainly been breathed back into the club.

We had a problem queuing to get in and only one turnstile was open (a Montrose official was saying that they were told to expect 200 ICT fans but 400 had turned up - Laura from the ST will dispute this as apparently we told them to expect 350).

League 1 clubs are not prepared for supports of this size ( although heaven knows how they coped with Falkirk for 5 years) and the sooner we get back to the Championship, the better. We will probably be favourites next season so that will bring Kell a different kind of pressure.

Aye think a lot of us fed up with not getting a pie at 3.10pm at several grounds this season due to being a "big support" lol

The single turnstile was ridiculous btw. One official and the SLO getting very upset and being moaned at.... No idea why they didn't just jump on the other one given its a qr code not cash being handled? You'd think clubs would be happy at the sizeable income?

Seemed to be plenty stewards as well so not buying their "your club told us 200 max" crap.

Been to a couple of away games this season but didn't make Montrose.

I think the reintroduction of a 16-25 season ticket has to be looked at, this is probably more an age group I was talking about. At that Ayr game I mentioned there were masses of them around the 16-19 age group.

I must be in the minority. I enjoyed the chat in the long, but moving quickly, queue (nothing compared to queues at festivals). We managed to get a pie before they ran out and I thought that the people of Montrose were very friendly. One fan congratulated us on the team's success this season and the stewards calmly dealt with ours fans, despite their pitch suffering a few blue scorch marks. The pub was friendly, the sun shone and the trains ran on time.

All that and a win too..... a great day out.

I don't go to the football to stand in queues sorry. You expect a bit of a queue but they were plainly unprepared for such a large support. Most clubs in this division have a poor travelling support

Perhaps it should be voluntary.

In fact, it is!

I've been eligible for a few years now but still pay full price because I choose to. To help the club.

16-25 Season Ticket is a must though.

As someone living on a miserable state pension I sincerely hope the discounted season ticket price for senior citizens is maintained as every little saving ne!ps.

They could half the cost of attending matches (not just us) and it would still be one of the most expensive forms of entertainment out there.

What's needed is additional value in whatever way that can be provided.

Ticket prices are an inevitable consequence of player payment practices throughout the game.
