can we survive this season

Next two games are crucial. We've shown earlier in the season that we have the players to match and beat other teams in the league and as many have pointed out, all our games apart from against Rangers have been settled by the odd goal and we've had a fair bit of bad luck. On the other hand, what's been concerning recently is that the belief seems to have gone out of the team and no-one (least of all Brewster) seems to know our best line-up. If we can't take anything from Hibs and Falkirk, then we could end up in the sort of situation Aberdeen and Dundee Utd got themselves into in '94-'95 - experienced players going awol, feuds in the dressing room and every attempt to change the line-up failing.

From a purely personal point of view I wouldn't be that unhappy exchanging the likes of Falkirk and Tannadice for a season visiting East End Park and Firhill - brings back a few memories - but it could be disasterous for the club.

We're due a break and a bit of luck to get us going, perhaps it will be on Saturday.

Hibs 0 ICT 1

I'm with Ronaldo on this one. The only gulf between the teams in the spl is the top two and the rest. A wee bit of a rub of the green and a couple of wins will steady the ship.

Mind you, I usually tend to regard myself as a pessimist - AN OPTIMIST WITH EXPERIENCE!! :rotflmao:

The main problem we have is that every other team has strenghthened and we haven't.

Bingo!

Of the promoted teams from recent seasons ICT have, if anything, gone backwards or, at best, remained stagnant. Meanwhile, Falkirk and St. Mirren press ahead with no stadiums, massively increased wage and transfer budgets and are assembling good squads - out bidding us for players and offering some of ours better contracts so they decide to leave.

I've said this before but we seem to appear happy where we are and don't seem to be making any progress at moving forward. Other teams have been striving to move forward on and off the pitch and they are now reaping the rewards.

It would take a very head strong ICT fan not to say they are a tad jealous of St. Mirren getting their new stadium and debt wiped out come January.
