kind of like this format ... 3 points for a win, 2 pts for a 'winning draw', 1 pt for a draw and 0 points for a loss ..... not as dramatic as penalty shootouts in knock out tournaments but something different ....

Shame about the pens - could have done with extra point. We now need to win our two remaining games - Dunfermline will be particularly tricky - and hope for a draw between Dunfermline and Dundee United.

Quite like the new format even if it didn't work for us today.

Disappointed not to get more from the game against a pretty average looking United side.

Boden's goal looked like it came from the training ground. We were cut open a bit easily for the equaliser, and it looked like united might grasp the initiative, but after the first 5 minutes of the second half they looked like they'd settled for penalties. Mulraney looked good when he came on, but the treatment handed out to him by United was pretty disgusting, and the referee offered little protection.

Tremarco and King look to have the basis of a decent partnership down the left, but King could do with taking the shot rather than looking for a pass.

There is some promise there, but we nee to be a bit more clinical in front of goal.

If we're going to progress in this comp two wins are an absolute must and winning the group means we don't draw against Celtic, Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts in first ko round.

Two wins in 90 mins, and hope that Utd don't beat Dunfermline in 90 mins.

If we win both our remaining games we win the group regardless of other results.

Impressive 1st 45 much better tempo and drive throughout and another day a win

Agree with this. Thought there was some nice footie plyed at times.

I thought McNaughton had a really solid game. Looked comfortable with good distribution.

How does that work if DU win their final game? Both teams on 10 pts they have far better goal difference

Mcnaughton was easily my motm, solid clever player. Make a fantastic addition

Yeah. Hard to argue with that. His defensive work was outstanding.

Yeah, that's what my maths says too. We are in the same position as Utd - we have both dropped 2 points (but they've played a game more)

You are right there Hawkeye especially about Mulraney!  For the first game of the season a vast improvement on last year, I am sure we will improve.
