SURVIVAL ?

Yes we can stay in the SPL, but only if the board do something fast and get a new man in place before it is too late. There is no point in freeing up money to use in the transfer window and giving it to Brewster, only for them to realise that he isn't a good manager (like we have been saying for some time now) and then getting rid of him. This would cost the club even more money in the long run, and a new manager would probably not be given any more money to buy the players they want. They may not even have time to bring anyone in before the window shuts.

If Brewster stays, things will continue until it is too late. By then we could be well adrift at the bottom and who knows if we could recover from it.

Something needs to be done. Now.

If we get a new Manager & he cant make purchases, wouldnt Grassa have some say in buying new players ?

If we get a manager who can organise and inspire these players then we can stay in this league. Even as we lose our most talented players, we are left with guys who will fight to the death The likes of Tokely, Munro and Duncan may not be the most gifted players, but they have a lot of experience and the desire to play for the shirt.

I really think it's between us and Hamilton, and that organisation, unity and fight rather than skill will determine which team stays in the SPL.

I agree that the players could take us out of this mess, but we definitely do not have the manager to do it. I really can't understand how the board fail to see this as the weeks progress. Surely they have to wake up and smell the coffee sometime soon???

We really need to get the players motivated for this. We have been drifting along for a season or two like a rudderless ship and now we are in trouble. Its time to start fighting for the clubs SPL future, its as simple as that.

Our board seem to have allowed a lot of decent experienced players to walk out the door as well as all our good younger players when their contracts finish up. They seem to be happy to replace these players with worse ones and expect our club to cruise along. Its going to be difficult to attract players up here now as houses are hard to sell and a lot of players won't fancy uprooting and travelling up here.

Accies are going to scrap away for everything and we have to as well. I wouldn't write Falkirk out the scrap either. I dont think they have the players to grind out horrible wins. We do, lets give the boys a good roar and try and play our part from the touchlines.

Hes gotta go, show him the door we cant risk him going through january buying 2d rate players and playing gutless football, if we still have Brew after the January Transfer window closes and hes not made a rapid improvement, ill be peering at the opposition in div one im afraid. Forget unity and continuity now is the time to realise actually this is a formula that clearly doesnt work.

The scoreline flattered us yesterday, a howler from their keeper and we scored our second goal when when most of the Motherwell players were distracted by the tributes that were flashing up on the scoreboard. If we serve up more of this dross against Hamilton (next away game) then were in serious bother.

Absolutely spot on. But this is the decision of the Board - and surely we must all be asking the question as to why they are continuing to back him ? Perhaps they are confident that he has already lured the players necessary to save us.

Brew may be the catalyst but it is the Board who should take FULL responsibility for the decision making in the next month - and nice to see that our Director of Football relaxed yesterday by watching the OF game in the Supporters Club Bar. evidently he must feel that Brew has it all under control.

Well if things keep going the way they are by the time our Board grows a pair of testicles between them Brewster would have single handedly seen the club crash and burn beyond repair. No action now = Big Problems either this season or next, even with a new manager eventually.

It all depends on the transfer window. Imagine an injury to Munro and Black/Cowie gone, we then potentially have a team of:

Esson, Tokely Proctor McGuire Hastings, Imrie Vigurs Duncan McBain, Rooney Wood ()with no suspensions or injuries)

If we crashed like Gretna, who would be first-choice for another SPL club? I'd say:

SPL: Esson, Imrie

SPL/Div 1 cusp (if you know what I mean): Tokely, Hastings, Duncan, Rooney

Div 1: McGuire, Proctor (at least as centre back), McBain

The rest are up-n-coming squad players rather than regulars.

It's going to be tough. Only Hamilton have a weaker squad.
