As far as i am aware renegade, rooney cant be on the pitch and bench as well, unless ICT have sigh wayne in the transfer window.

Anyhow, i would go for:

Esson

Rossco Pavel Munro Zadi

Morias Duncan Black Vigurs

Imrie Rooney

Subs: Fraser, Duff, Roy, Foran, Proctor, Barrowman, Eric

It sounds like Imrie's going to be playing through the middle now.

We've got a spine that should be playing every week, with the wide positions and one striker position up for grabs. I really hope one of our strikers can step up and take it - that's still our weakest spot

ESSON

TOKELY PAVELS MUNRO MCBAIN

MORAIS DUNCAN BLACK VIGURS/FORAN

ROONEY IMRIE

Butcher has to keep as many players as possible "hungry" and I'm hoping he'll do that by playing the most suitable team as opposed to any pre-defined 11.

Celtic game was always going to be a physical encounter and I think that's probably what shaded it for one or two players who were in the starting line-up yesterday....and rightfully so. I also think Woods, Vigurs, Ronney (the younger guys) were probably on the bench because we needed as many cool heads in there as possible to stop adrenaline overcoming the team and doing more harm than good.

Kilmarnock will be a whole different ball game IMO, and I think we'll see one or two changes with Duncan and Lionel perhaps being sacrificed in order to bring in better "ball players".

Esson

Mihadjuks - Munro - McBain

Tokely - - - - Black - - - - Vigurs

Morais - - - - Imrie

Rooney - Foran

Essentially a 3-5-2 but with sufficient personnel so as to allow the shape to become whatever the game dictates.

4-4-2

Esson

Tokely - Mihadjuks - Munro - McBain

Morais - - Black - - Vigurs - - Imrie

Rooney - Foran

4-5-1

Esson

Tokely - Mihadjuks - Munro - McBain

Morais - Vigurs - Black - Imrie - Foran

Rooney

4-3-3(2-1)

Esson

Tokely - Mihadjuks - Munro - McBain

Morais - - - - Black - - - - Vigurs

Imrie - - - - Foran

Rooney

Hopefully we're looking to add a right sided midfielder before 5.00pm because with the loss of Barry and Cowie looking like he's away then we're more than a little lacking on that side. Whilst I think there's a couple of the left sided players capable of playing on the right, it's not ideal.

Going by Butcher's comments so far, it looks like the days of P1ssing aroung with different formations are over. We'll play 4-4-2 every week, with a spine of Pavels and Grant at back, Blackie and Duncan in the middle of the park and Imrie playing just off the main striker with the freedom to roam as he did yesterday.

Simplicity, organisation and stability.

Now, if only Butcher could conjure up a striker before 5pm........

With the signing of Kerr today, I expect it'll be Duncan who's sacrificed in the middle.

Esson

Tokely Mihadjuks Munro McBain

Black

Morais Kerr Imrie

Rooney Foran

Possibly swap Black and Kerrs places and that'd be my guess with what we'll go with.

The question is: can Zadi last against Taouil? We can afford a cup loss, so let's see shall we?

Two wingers, two up front. As I've said, it's only a cup match, let's see how well we can play as an attack-minded team. If Morais still injured, then Gattheusi to assess how well he can play. If he's out, then McBain. Sincerely doubt Kerr is fit enough, so gets on in the second half.
