Dundee appear to have confirmed to the SPFL that they have not voted but have not informed them on whether they intend to vote.  And whilst the 5pm Friday deadline was missed, that was just a requested deadline and legally Dundee don't need to vote until a 28 day period is up.  The SPFL cannot inform other clubs whether the proposal has carried or not until either Dundee cast their vote or the 28 day period is up.

It is vital that we move on and that at least the payments are made to cash strapped clubs.  Dundee know this and said as much in their statement.  It may be that Dundee are simply making a point here that the 5pm deadline was far too short for proper consideration of such a lengthy document on which many clubs had not been consulted.  Given how important their vote has now become after the SPFL were foolish enough to announce how the vote was going before some clubs had cast their votes, it may be that Dundee are trying to get some assurances before they case their vote.  I think we will get clarity soon as they will make themselves very unpopular with other clubs if they hold this up too long.

As reported above, according to Sky, there is a technical question about the competence of Dundee's failure to vote, but the biggest question of competence must be about the competence of the SPFL.  Yet agains, they make Scottish football the laughing stock of the football world.

If the league titles and relegation are being decided by a vote, should there also be a vote on who wins the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Cup? !

We might lose!  Why can this not be played  at the start of next season?  it is a single one off match between 2 teams who have earned the right to play a final.  It is probably also the only round in the whole competition where the clubs might reasonably be expected to make some money.

We should compete the season by each team nominating a member of their playing squad to play paper, scissors, stone with the nominated player of the other clubs we have yet to play.

Best of five for league fixtures, best of seven for the remaining cup ties and best of nine for the all important promotion and relegation play offs.

"We could not countenance a situation where we could take a vote which would lead to redundancies at Hearts and Partick Thistle on Monday morning and goodness knows what at Stranraer."

Classic Caley failing to keep the fans up to date with goings on 🙄

Last club in the Championship still to vote, and it all depends on us...and not a peep

You're sure it wasn't us then.

What a farce!  It seems Dundee have got a few questions to answer and it really is quite disgraceful that they have refused to say anything today other than "no comment".  There can be no action on implementing the proposal or looking at alternatives until Dundee have submitted their vote.  They have told other clubs they have submitted their vote but the SPFL say they have not received it.  But then rather than re-send it they apparently send a message to the SPFL to ask then to consider their vote not sent.  I would have thought that if they had actually sent their vote, it would not be appropriate for it to be considered not sent.  If the request was accepted then surely it would entitle any other club to send a similar request within the next 28 days!  If they actually did send it then the SPFL must be obliged to accept it and therefore the proposal would fall.  Something sure stinks here.

Good to hear Scot Gardiner explaining our club's principled stance on the matter on Sportsound this afternoon and also detailing precisely what Dundee had told other clubs they were going to do and which they subsequently appear not to have done.

I see that ICT and Partick voted by putting an X in the box despite the instruction to tick the appropriate box. I wonder if some clubs voting in favour did so too, and whether there can be doubt as to whether any such votes are competent?!

Scottish football does seem to attract an especially incompetent and self serving type : both at an authority and club level (ICT excepted naturally).

Along with the broadcasters and pundits : caught a wee bit of sportsound or whatever was on this afternoon : 100% garbage talked. Switched off after 5 minutes cringeworthy garbage.

It was actually one of the best sportsound programs Ive ever listened to, very informative.
