Aye nothing less family friendly than orange.  You are aligning the club with that nonsense, along with one or two others. Anyone would think you had an agenda.

  • Blackpool play in tangerine – a tone of orange – shirts and white shorts, with their socks combining both colours.
  • Brisbane Roar play in orange shirts – with black diagonal shoulders with a thin, white line under the black – black shorts and orange with black banded socks.
  • Dundee United rock tangerine shirts, black shorts and tangerine with black banded socks.
  • Houston Dynamo don all-orange kits, with black designs on the necks, arms and sides of the jerseys.
  • Hull City play in black and amber (yellow and orange) striped shirts, black shorts and black and amber socks.
  • Istanbul Basaksehir FK play in orange shirts and socks, accompanied by navy blue shorts.
  • Lorient wear orange shirts, with a diamond checker pattern with a subtle wave pattern applied, black shorts and white socks.
  • Luton Town play in orange shirts, with white and blue on the trims, blue shorts and orange socks.
  • Montpellier play in predominant navy and less conspicuous orange shirts and socks, accompanied by navy blue shorts.
  • Shakhtar Donetsk rock orange shirts and socks with thin stripes, with black shorts to match.

On the international scene, only two popular countries are among the football teams that play in orange kits

  • Ivory Coast play in all-orange kits, with a touch of green on the shoulders.
  • Netherlands rock bright orange shirts, shorts and socks, with black designs on them.

He doth protest too much methinks.

Can't believe you actually typed that all out 🤣

this situation is a disgrace and things I’ve heard from other media sources matches this dictatorial attitude and creates a general fear to speak out against him.

May also explain the 'communist shop steward' comment in another thread about Welsh. (or it may not). If the environment is as utterly toxic as it is being painted, then it would not surprise me that employees talk badly about the situation. It may also explain why the player mentioned wanted everything to flow through him. Not a desire to be a dictator, but, as club captain, to protect the rest of the team from the toxicity behind the scenes by being the figurehead. Very much a standoff and more evidence of the rot at the core of the leadership of the club rather than the player being a wan*** !

As for playing in orange - that long trope is utterly irrelevant! The clubs quoted have one thing in common, and that is that SG was not involved with any of them.

Dear me!

If it had been just an orange kit on its own then that might have raised a few eyebrows (bearing in mind the ceo's background), but would've been acceptable.

Regrettably, in scottish football it's very clear what the agenda is when an orange kit is paired with a 12th july release date! To imply that it was a pure coincidence is being disingenuous.

Has anyone approached him for an explanation Steve?

I may take the opportunity to ask him on Saturday for an explanation, this situation is a disgrace and things I’ve heard from other media sources matches this dictatorial attitude and creates a general fear to speak out against him.

I’ve reached out to him via text but no reply and through Liam Morrison who told me about their new media strategy.

I don't think the podcast has ever been overly critical of the club or the team.  If anything they've been reluctant to criticise as stridently as some of our fans have.

LOL, I've often wondered and now it is proved, you really are a 12 year old. I just thought you were stupid.

Below the belt Macaroni - as an apology name another 10 teams who have orange strips.

I remember my 6 year old son having the Barcelona 3rd strip I think, courtesy of his grandparents,  it was orange socks, shorts, shirt. Horrendous, but he loved it, and wasn't a bigot. Still isn't actually, though he is not a fan of the Caley orange strip..

Not one of those kits look like Rangers orange kits though that's the issue..... see if we just did an orange kit with no blue, it would've been fine. Black or white would've been a perfect 2nd colour. We had no issue not having blue colours on our away stripes before last season being a prime example with Black & Red. So why did we decide to do orange & blue??? Sorry but it doesn't take a genius to work it out when you know Scott Gardiner is a bluenose. Probably trying to build some affiliation so the glory hunting Rangers fans turn up for the odd game....

Aye & it looked nothing like Rangers 👍 see if we did something similar this season it would've been absolutely fine it's the blue tints that ruin it.

Walk through any Scottish Town or City with our away kit on say under a hoodie or a jacket don't show the Caley badge & watch how many people assume that you're wearing a Rangers top...

Can’t believe we are even talking about this 6 months after the kit launch, but our current away kit looks nothing like those Rangers ones you posted (apart from the sleeves), and doesn’t it actually have more red than orange?!
