just wondered what peoples thaughts are of trying to get our own song made. if anyone is up for writing one or help with one then i might be able to get one recorded. i am pretty sure i could get the silencers to do a caley thistle version of i can feel it which was the sportscene theme tune. if you go to youtube and type the silencers - i can feel it, you will here the song. i think it would be a class tune to put our own words to it. i will leave it open for everyone to discuss and if its something that appeals to people and they want to do a caley thistle version then i will try and get it recorded for us when we have a finished product.

Get the players in too. When we won the league and reached a semi in 2004 (I think it was that year anyway) Yompa got permission from Jimmy Pursey to use Sham 69's song and somehow they got all the players into a studio and recorded 'Caley Jags are United'. So it can be done - go for it

Well, would be happy to give my assistants. I play guitar and I'm happy to sing.

Will your assistants be of much assistance?

In dublin's fair city, where girls are so pretty

We first set our eyes on Rooney, Hayes and Forlan

They wheeled a wheel-barrow, through streets broad and narrow

Crying: cockles and Mussels a-live, a-live oh

Alive, a-live oh, a-live a-live oh

Crying,. cockles and mussels a-live, a-live oh

Richie was a womaniser, and sure 'twas no wonder

For so were his father and brother before

And they both wheeled their barrow,

through streets broad and narrow

Crying: cockles and Mussels a-live, a-live oh

Alive, a-live oh, a-live a-live oh

Crying,. cockles and mussels a-live, a-live oh

He died of a fever, and no one could save him

And that was the end of sweet Richie Forlan

But his ghost wheels his barrow,

through defences broad and narrow

Crying: cockles and Mussels a-live, a-live oh

 um....nice try is Richie Forlan Diego's brother? I reckon if we were to make a song the words should be about the club and players and not about players pushing wheel barrows shouting about cockles and mussels!! And I'm sure Richie wouldn't be to chuffed if we sang a song where he dies of a fever!!

How about a one of for the last game.

Last Waltz by Engelbert Humperdink

We dont know should we dance or sing or wave

We only have this one more game to play

Then its of back to the SPL

And you's can play Ross County again

We'll play this last game gainst you

Two teams with nothing to play for

We're in the SPL

Your staying down here forever

When next you cross the bridge we'll pray for you

We'll pray that you survive the Dungwall hue

And as your heading back look t'wards our stands

And the flag that once you thought was in your hands

We'll play the last game gainst you

Two teams with nothing to play for

We're in the SPL

Your staying down here forever

We come on the HMS Sneck

We lie drunk on the deck

From Inverness town we did roam

Drinking all night

Got into a fight

Well I feel so broke up

I want to go home

So hoist up the Sneckie sail

See how the mainsail sets

Call for the Captain ashore

Let me go home, let me go home

I wanna go home, yeah yeah

Well I feel so broke up

I wanna go home

The Sesh Army got got drunk

And broke in the Cap'n's trunk

The constable had to come and take them away

Sheriff Barry Stone

Why don't you leave me alone, yeah yeah

Well I feel so broke up I wanna go home

So hoist up the Sneckie's B's sail

See how the mainsail sets

Call for the Captain ashore

Let me go home, let me go home

I wanna go home, let me go home

Why don't you let me go home

(Hoist up the Sneckie's sail)

Hoist up the Sneckie sial

I feel so broke up I wanna go home

Let me go home

The poor cook he caught the fits

And threw away all my grits

And then he took and he ate up all of my corn

Let me go home

Why don't they let me go home

This is the worst trip I've ever been on

So hoist up the Sneckie's sail

See how the mainsail sets

Call for the Captain ashore

Let me go home, let me go home

I wanna go home, let me go home

Why don't you let me go home
