Munro named new Inverness skipper

Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Charlie Christie has appointed central defender Grant Munro as the club's new captain.

The 26-year-old replaces Darren Dods following the former skipper's move to Dundee United.

Munro was confirmed in his new role with the Scottish Premier League club on Wednesday.

Christie said: "I spoke to four or five of the senior players before making my decision and they all felt Grant would be the right choice.

"He has matured as a player and as a person and he was delighted when I told him."
