Much as I fear for ICT under Brewster's leadership, it's Caley Thistle I support - no matter the manager.

(Ok, don't always get across to Scotland but it's the thought that counts - I'll be renewing my ART Sports subscription if that makes it better)

I would not even contemplate not renewing mine,  you support the club, no matter who runs it, who is the manager and who the players are, anyway i'll bet you change your mind in the summer...

Very commendable Caley 100 but I wonder how many will do likewise when he eventually takes us back to the first division  :024:

That would indeed be the "acid test". As ICT fans we have all been somewhat 'spoiled' since 1994. We have advanced from Division 3 to the SPL and in all that time we have usually progressed or at least held our own. We have never experienced the very real emotional trauma of relegation or financial administration even if we have come close to both at times.

We have had a few setbacks and some really bad results .... hammerings in Ayr, Greenock and Airdrie, and at home to County, losing in the semi-finals of the cup twice, losing to Celtic in the last couple of minutes of yet another cup tie after seemingly cruising to victory, losing to Alloa on penalties in the Challenge cup etc etc etc but we have also had a multitude of happy days - The Div3 championship, The Div1 championship, Winning the Challenge Cup, each and every victory over County, beating Celtic and Hearts in cup games while a lower league team, memorable games like the 4-3 or 7-3 victories over Ayr, beating all SPL teams except Aberdeen ... I could go on.

I think that many of us feel like the team has stagnated in a state of mid-table mediocrity and some changes need to be made. However, we all wonder with a measure of both dread and anticipation whether the wholescale changes that Brewster seems likely to make in the close season will move us forward or propel us backwards. This time next year Brewster will either be "hero" or "zero" and despite my misgivings about him, I hope it is hero !!!

From my point of view, stagnation is probably to be expected, we are a small provincial team in the top division of the country. We are not good enough to win the league because - whether we like it or not - other teams do have more pulling power when it comes to wages, support, and the quality of players they will attract. However, I will take mid table stagnation with the odd expedition to the top reaches of the league and maybe to a cup final over the spectre of relegation anyday !!!!

[li]If I still lived in Inverness I would still be a season ticket holder regardless of division, manager or anyone else at the club.[/li]
[li]If the club ever get relegated, I will still run this site with the same enthusiasm as I have done since we were in Division 3.[/li]
[li]If the club ever get their act together and provide those of us overseas with audio/visual options, I will be one of the first subscribers regardless of which division we are in.[/li]

I largely agree, our realistic aspirations can't really extend beyond finishing fifth or sixth in the SPL  but it is the prospect of finishing rock bottom next season which concerns me right now.

I've never had a season ticket but tend to get to between 8 and 10 home games a season which I anticipate doing next season despite my reservations about Craig Brewster.

AIM #1 - Finish 11th or better

AIM #2 - Finish 10th or better

AIM #3 - Finish 9th or better

AIM #4 - Finish 8th or better

... you get the idea !!!

I cant remember who made the comment - I think it was Brewster when he took over from CC - but I liked it.

It was something along the lines of no matter what position you are in, the focus is to catch the team ahead of you and to put space between you and the team behind you ..... if he can do that and finish 8th, 7th, or into the top 6, I will be happy.

Great post Scotty  :clapping03:

ive had a season ticket for 2 seasons now and no matter how much i want to, I can't seem to stay away.  Even if we do get relegated next season (I doubt it but just saying just in case haha) I will still support the club and go to every home game. (cant get to away games  :009:)

Maddy OK take your point and your entitled to it, but i wish I was in a position to buy a season ticket and watch every home game(living in Bristol it would b a big ask) me and two of my kids would love to be there with or with out Brew.

To me - it is about meeting ma mates - getting pished - following ICT - singing songs - and ya have to take the rough with the smooth.

I however agree that Brew has the potential to ruin us and I just hope that he is shown the door - I have never done it before BUT I will be part of the BOO brigade next season if we dont get rid of the arrogant, tactically inept *******.

Inspiring post Scotty. Good attitude IHE. And Redee, we need more youngsters like you..I love the way you have adapted to this forum and your generally positive upbeat attitude . :clapping03:

Not renewing the season ticket , unless you cannot afford it, is not ever going to be the answer. You follow the team  through thick and thin. Always.

You guys? don't protest with banners, don't protest by witholding your season ticket renewal, don't boo the manager, don't boo the players, don't question the mods.

Good to see the good old Highland attitude alive and kicking, I assume a few loud tuts are still allowed in this day and age?

For the record I will be renewing my ST but will boo bad performances under the Brewster regime.

Your surname isn't McCann by any chance is it?  I think your mummy and daddy are looking for you  :blah01:

I'm not renewing mine.  It isn't a stand against anyone or anything going on at the club I've just lost interest in football.  I think I will now dedicate my Saturdays to Haberdashery

So whats worse for the club? not buying a ticket and not turning up or buying a ticket and giving the club much needed revenue?

The board of directors as as much aware of team performance as you and i let me tell you!

I agree with Maddy so far as Brew is not the right man for the job, but this is ridiculous, what are you hoping to achieve?

"Oh dear Maddy's not coming anymore better sack him."  :015:

I'll be back along with my Daughter to enjoy sharing another season of Highs & Lows ( hopefully more highs )

To experience the  atmosphere Like the one when we beat Celtic from 2 nil down with 10 men !!!

was worth the Season ticket money alone !!  :021: :021: :021:
