Correct team selection

Controlled aggressive play.

Cut out the long ball sh*te

NULLIFY ANDY DORMAN

Don't give Dargo any opportunity to run at defence

Keep focussed if we go behind

WIN!

Even simpler

WIN!

The problem is that football is played on grass and has multivariate factors influencing results. Dargo I think you will find is injured so your team talk begins with an error. The sentiment is well intentioned.

Kick Andy Dorman till he loses a leg then we will be home free.

Here is a good simple one to use: MAKE NO MISTAKES AND TRY TO BE CALM WHEN DEFENDING!!

st mirren really arent anything without Dorman. They have proved that numerous times.

I HAVE FAITH!! AND WILL BE THERE TO SHOW IT!!

Annoying that no-one in Rangers did that last week. B*st*rds.

From all accounts Midden are missing up to 10 players now through injury so teletext is saying so hopefully a few players will be there that have not been platying regularly. We have been playing a fairly consistent line up so hopefully that all goes in our favour.

Concentrate in defence for the full 90 minutes.

I agree with that... same tactics as they used against Rangers at Ibrox a few weeks ago.

It would also be good for Proctor to fall over in the Midden box in stoppage time.

You have to play to your strengths in this game.

St Mirren could be without 10 first-team players with Scott Cuthbert, Hugh Murray, Will Haining and Steven Thomson all being doubts through injury.

Craig Dargo has joined Franco Miranda, Steven Robb, Stephen O'Donnell, Chris Smith and Tom Brighton on the sidelines at St Mirren Park.

Inverness midfielder David Proctor is still missing with an ankle injury picked up in training last week.

Richie Byrne and Eric Odhiambo also remain sidelined through injury.

St Mirren (from): Howard, Ross, Camara, Cuthbert, Potter, McGinn, Thomson, Dorman, Murray, Mehmet, Mason, Brady, Hamilton, Wyness, Barron, McAusland, Burns, Mathers.

Inverness (from): Esson, Tokely, Mihadjuks, Munro, Djebi-Zadi, Kerr, Black, Duncan, Foran, Imrie, Morais, Fraser, Duff, Hastings, Vigurs, McBain, Rooney, Barrowman.

Mehmet showed last weekend that he's not fully fit as well, in addition to Hamilton playing very little games recently. I think they could struggle for goals (as they have done all season), I just hope we find some goals from somewhere.

With Proctor injured it opens opportunities for a more attacking minded right midfielder (if Duncan isn't there again!!). Perhaps Morais or Imrie to play there?

Think Proctor being out is good new for us as long as Butcher plays the right person in his place this time!

Sounds like St Mirren could be understrength as well which usually means we lose! :rotflmao:

Other than the last game where he looked a bit lost at right back I think Proctor has been one of our better players recently and may be missed tomorrow.

Lets just get stuck into this Glasgow outspill. Heard enough of them bleating on about having money a new stadium and apparently a good football team.

No need to change our formation or tactics, in big games like this we should just keep it simple and play to our strengths rather than trying anything fancy (a la Brewster).

And for chr1st sake, play with a bit of energy and ambition. No repeat of the lethargic debacle against Falkirk where only one team turned up with the intention of having a go and winning the game.

The way that we have been playing recently the first goal is so very important - we just have to come flying out of the blocks and grab the opener - that always seems to buoy the players and will lift the support. Hope Tel goes with a front two (not Imrie) and plays Morais and Imrie wide.
