He added some fuel to the fire by announcing he'd love to play in the highland derbies next season.

Appologies If this has been mentioned elsewhere

Not heard it...read it. Its in the Highland News.

Only a few days ago he was saying he'd like to play for Rangers if their transfer embargo is lifted.

Hearts let him go because his wage demands were too high.

Reality check please!

If that turns out to be true it will be the first decent news from that paper for years!

Would love him to come back but no chance we could afford him. He'd most likely be offered less than what he got when he left us. Pipedream imo.

Got it on good authority that he's been given a contract.....

........to paint the toilet and concourse areas.

Would love to see him back playing for us, just cant see it. Given that championship, league one and some league two clubs can offer higher wages than us then i reckon he will end up in one of those leagues

Doubt that, otherwise he wouldnt have got his overalls out for his painting career last season.

Blackie left us solely for money. Maybe he's stashed enough away to be able to afford to come back to us for what we can afford to pay.

hearts are his boyhood club, sure he got probably a fair amount of extra income, but it wasnt the sole reason.

I had a chat with Blackie, as he stuffed himself with Burger and chips in Heathmount after he'd signed pre-contract for Hearts, and asked him why he was leaving us. His reply.......three times as much as the best offer from ICT.

People still believe this story? Outstanding.

To be fair, I think most folk would move on if someone was offering you three times your salary when you only have about 15 years of "work".

Sorry RiG, it was tongue in cheek, smileys arent working on the laptop haha.

Sadly there's probably more chance of Blackie winning the Grand National than playing in the Highland Derby next season.

He is with out a club so surely any offer would mean he's making money.......
