i personally reckon if we can get some confidence into morais he could be a bit of a player, we have really lacked a wide man that can take a player on since barry robson left, give the guy a chance, get behind him, see what having a crowd that supports him can do for him. you might be pleasantly suprised

Interestingly, yesterday's article on the BBC website refers to these players "completing their transfers" and the word "loan" does not appear anywhere.

It also says 'undisclosed' rather than loan on the BBC transfer thingy plus I found this quote on the Sky Sports website....It's up to our director of football Graeme Bennett to iron out the final details regarding contract lengths, but we've reached agreement with Hibs," said Brewster in the Daily Record.

"Gathuessi can play anywhere across the defence or in midfield."

Guess he'll be starting up front tomorrow then :rotflmao:

Did Brewster say that? Gathuessi is a full back and has never been tested at centre back competetively AFAIK...

Still, when's that ever stopped Brewster? :thumb04:

I remember reading the same thing in this morning's Herald.

BBC brew's thoughts

have to say not overly confident with "He hasn't really featured much at Hibs this season and I just thought he would be a good player to have. He is competitive and has good energy and I'm looking forward to seeing how he does."

Gatheussi sounds more like an experiment than a signing with any conviction

I am hoping for big things from Morais though

From what i remember of Morais time at St Johnstone he did very well there. He then signed for hibs and has tailed of a bit. But he is the type of rough around the edges player that we sign and does well. A nippy wee skilful player.

Look at Robson, Wyness, Dods, Dargo, Juanjo to name but a few. Think it was more of a case of wrong place wrong time and drink involved in the Casino. Good chance he was recognised and trouble flared up with him being lumped with the blame. And Hibees are miserable so it's a fair chance it may have knocked his confidence there.

Thierri Gatheussi is a bit of a rash player. Has ability but sometime sleeps. I think he'd be decent on the flanks of midfield. Touch dangerous at the back.

Something like -

GK

RB - CB - CB - LB

Cowie - Black - Vigurs - GATHEUSSI

MORAIS

ST

Hope they dont take too long to settle in. I still think it's a commanding and experieced centre half we really need. A fairly experienced forward wouldnt be bad. Hey how aboot Robbie Fowler :rotflmao:

Graeme Bennett, the club's director of football, said: "Although Pavels has signed, we were unfortunately unaware there is a four hour time difference with Latvia."

It was only 2 hours the last time I was in Riga... if you are going to make excuses at least make them factual!

That said I hope the geezer is good as we are desperate for someone to sort out our defence.

his mate whos also on trial is more experienced internationally,i would like to see him on board and would help pavel settle in easier

That means the final bits of paperwork will have to be tied up on the morning of the cup game if we are to have him available. However, both of the former Hibs lads are now signed Caley Thistle players, not loan players, until the end of the season.

So they're not loanys then, they're proper players....right? :rotflmao:

Oh dear, I think the club have gone about this the wrong way, I think Brew & Malky have ran their full coarse at ICT, if funds are available, get the right manager in(I know this is an easy statement to make)

The club may have to broaden its horizon, Cloughy has just got a great move from Burton to Derby and in my opinion there are 3 or 4 other good up and coming managers in the English conference, it must be the same for the lower english & Scottish leagues.

My thoughs are that the we need to appoint someone with no previous connection to the club, someone with abit of character, man management skills as well as coaching ability with a keen eye for a good quality signing at the right price(again easy statement to make) Someone who can get into the minds of the players we have, motivate them, then add a few key signings to strenghten, I dont think foreign players are the answer at the moment for ICT.

Does the club have the time for all this who knows, on the other hand bringing in two players who apparently are not good enough for the club they are with, is that the answer? I hope so!!
