Heard along the line that Barry W. was at Largs doing his latest course. While he was there he met Alan Shearer and got kinda pally.

Now this is the good bit. They had some agreement that if and when Barry gets a ICT testimonial game, Shearer would come up with a team and pull on an ICT shirt himself. How good would that be! Perhaps our greatest ever loan signing  :clapping04:

No - Alan Shearer was at Largs - think he was a guest instructor or something !! A certain Mr Brewster was also in attendance as was CC, both doing their 'A' licenses which are required for participation in European football.

Alan Shearer was def at Largs. He wanted his A licence and decided to go to Scotland instead of doing the English FA course after speaking to Newcastle youth coach Tommy Craig.  Many top coaches studied there. Jose Mourinho is another who saw the light!

VETERAN Caley Thistle winger Barry Wilson is guaranteed a special guest star at his testimonial - Alan Shearer.

Wilson became buddies with the England and Newcastle legend while they worked for their UEFA 'A' licence at Murray Park this summer.

Wilson said: "Alan's a great guy and he offered to do anything he could for me."
