Pretty sure it was Sanchez.

Very comfortable win for ICT. Started brightly but twittered around in front of goal. Not sure what enabled Rooney to score. He headed weakly downward and we all assumed the keeper would block the ball, but it ended up in the net. Eagle scored with a free header after Imrie laid it on a plate. Imrie thumped home from two yards after a decent move down the left wing. Sanchez scored with a cool finish, prodding the ball past the keeper with the outside of the foot. Annans only attempt was just before half time when the aforementioned player collided with the keeper. He won the ball and knocked it a couple of feet over the bar but the keepers momentum carried him into the player and he was stretchered off, but later announced he was ok to travel home after the game. Annan to be honest were not at the races and we should have punished them more severely, however 4-0 is better than last week.

Rossco was good today, involved in most moves, Lionel got the biggest cheer when he backheeled the ball over his own head after a hasty pass went speeding past him at the touchline. Man of the match for me was Cox, he is as solid as they come and has a real determined look on his face when he goes in for the kill. He certainly won't be shirking any challenges.

Butcher was noisy all game screaming instructions at his players. All in all, easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Question - for CaleyD or someone else at game. 2nd ICT booking ... Sanchez or Stratford ? Don reported Stratford, Sky reported Sanchez ......

judging by other sites - going with CaleyD's choice of Stratford.

Stratford

Much better game today. Real fun times. Rossco showed some of his superman qualities. New players did well, real team effort. Young Kyle Allison did well in goal, although he didn't have much to do.

If we can play like this on a regular basis I think we'll do okay for the season.

1 point though, on the way home I was listening to BBC and one of the pundits suggested we would do well because other teams have to make that terrible journey up the A9 to play us. No mention of the fact that we will have to make the journey every other week. B)

Most definitely Stratford....you're only likely to get booked if you challenge for 50/50's and don't avoid tackles for fear of getting your shorts dirty and there's no way Sanchez was going to do either today. He's going to have to toughen up a bit if he's wanting to make an impact this year.

It was Stratford who got booked and it was incredibly harsh.

A much improved performance from last week but I would say it was a competent display rather than awe inspiring.

There wasn't much between the teams in the first half but we stepped up a gear in the second 45 and never looked back.

Our back 4 looked much more settled with Tokely at right back so hopefully Mr Butcher will realise that wee experiment didn't work. Will need to see more of Bulvitis before making my mind up about him. He seemed to start off brightly enough but seemed to get progressively worse as the game went on. Munro had a steady game but his distribution still let's him down and Lionel looked pretty good today - he'd probably be in the running for player of the year if he played in the 3rd division B)

Cox was the pick of the bunch in midfield. I love the way he really gets stuck into tackles. He came onto a game in the second half and looked the part. Stratford was pretty anonymous and Eagles flitted in and out of the game whipping in the occasional good cross and of course scoring on his debut.

I will be interested to hear other folks opinions on Imrie's display. I was surprised that he got the MoTM award! I suppose just looking at the match stats his 2 assists and 1 goal sound impressive but the rest of his display, especially in the first half was pretty low quality. Still he did miss pre-season so perhaps I am being overly harsh.

Rooney was workmanlike up front and took his header well but other than that it was just huff and puff.

Sanchez much like Eagles disappeared for long periods but he seems quite nippy and looks to have good technique.

All in all a good day out. It was a lovely day when the sun stayed out and it's always nice to win.

The real football starts next week and we are going to have to raise our game considerably if we are to be challenging at the end of the season

Decent game, good to have 4 different scorers. It could maybe should've been 5 or 6. Very impressed with Sanchez, willing to drop off for the ball, run at defenders with pace and a good finish to round complete a good performance.

The ICT wannabe casuals that were mouthing off last week V Montrose were very quiet today B) :D .

Tokely was the best player at the back today, he was the only one wanting to keep it on the deck.

Allison :D :D :D Had nothing to do, but looked fairly sturdy and his distribution was good.

Tokely :) :) :) :) :) Reinstated to right back, his runs up the wing gave us an attacking dimension we missed last week.

Lionel :) :) :) :) Class in a glass. Surely he can't be far away from an appearance on Soccer AM's 'showboat'.

Munro :) :) :) :) Didn't have much to defend against, passed the ball better than usual.

Bulvitis :) :) :) Wasn't really tested, some pretty loose touches and poor passes. Needs more games.

Cox :) :) :) :) :) Another impressive showing. Should be our first choice central midfielder now IMHO.

Stanford :) :) :) Didn't really do much to stand out, but looked much better in midfield than at right back.

Eagle :) :) :) :) Good wing play, put himself about. Tracked back, and made some good runs into the box.

Imrie :) :) :) :) Looked a little rusty but always a threat when on the ball.

Rooney B) :D Didn't cause the Annan defense any problems at all. Scored a simple free header from 6 yards that crept accross the line but did precious little else other than 'assist' Imries goal with his fresh air swipe.

Sanchez :) :) :) Nowhere near match fit and struggled through the second half but used the ball intelligently. Looks like a player.

Was a very happy sight to see us get 4 goals. Our midfield is slowly starting to look like more of a unit and it was very pleasing to see both Lionel and Rosscoe getting forward alot.

Stratford is much better in midfield and should stay there and leave Proctor to cover Tokely. Cox is a terrier in midfield, lets nothing go to waste and has a great range of passing. Sanchez needs to get fit and toughen up a bit but if he does i'm convinced he will become an asset for us.

Only thing that bothers me is up front. I don't know the extent of Foran's injury but i'm hoping it's not too serious because Rooney is clearly looking of the pace as cover.

Very enojyable performance, some entertainment as well. Every member of the team played well, the new boys were superb, eagles, bulvitis and cox especially.

roscoe was probably my man of the match, butcher surely must now see the light. Our most skillful player (a couple of excellent touches and flicks today, could see the big man was loving it) and looks dangerous every time he is forward. lovely crossing as well.

snachez had a good game as well IMO, did well taking a couple of touches and then passing it out wide. Might not be the biggest or strongest, but you don't need to be with a smart football brain and nice movement (rooney take note). dougie certainly had a point to prove today, the man was everywhere and typically ran himself into the ground.

where is roscoe23? back in the woodwork?
