I think Lionel had a few key moments yesterdy in which he dealt with very well, which is why i personally would still stick with him. Last two games he has been noticeable - in a good way!

I shall be in attendance! Cannot wait for two weeks!

I'd go with:

----------------------------------Esson-----------------------------------------------

-------------------Tokely-------------------------Mihadjuks-----------------------

---Gathuessi-----------------------Kerr----------------------------Djebi-Zadi------

-----Morais--------------------------Black----------------------------Vigurs--------

-----------------Barrowman------------------------Foran---------------------------

Subs - Fraser, Proctor, Hastings, Rooney, Odhiambo, Munro/Duff, Imrie

Esson in goal with Duff and Mihadjuks as the centre-halfs with Gathuessi and Djebi-Zadi as wings backs who's main aim is to go forward at most times while Tokely and Pavels stay back to defend with occaisonal runs forward through the centre. Brian Kerr in there as the defensive midfielder with Black as the regular midfielder. Morais at right wing and stick Vigurs back in as I rate him quite highly. The main jobs of Black and Kerr is to either pass the ball through the defence to either Barrowman or Foran or to pass to either wing. Foran up-front as well as Barrowman who would probably be a lot better under a short-passing style of play. Tactics are simple, keep the ball flowing to either wing or through the centre onto the striker, keeping the useless hoofing to a minimum.

Has the world stopped revolving? A sensible team from Renegade? There is hope after all! (by the way, don't get het up, I'm paying you a compliment)

A little bit too attacking for an away game with the Saints far better in attack (especially attack-minded midfielders) for me so I go with:

Esson

Gattheusi - - - Tokely - - - Mihadjuks - - - Dejbi-Zadi

Proctor

Kerr - - - Black - - - Vigurs

Morais - - - Foran

Proctor to cut out the threat of Dorman. A bit risky at the back, with a new right-back and dropping the captain. Vigurs back in a skillful three-man midfield, with a bit of bite. Front two are also fairly mobile and can drop deep under pressure. Imrie to come on and skin them in the last half-hour.

Goal threats from the three midfielders from range, plus two finishers up front against a dodgy back four of Saint Mirren (well, a pretty average three of them anyway).

If I was Butcher and saw Gattheusi wasn't up to it, then I'd go for our usual 4-4-2, only with Vigurs, i.e.:

Esson, Tokely Munro Mihadjuks Djebi-Zadi, Proctor Black Kerr Vigurs, Foran Morais

Rooney?? I just don't get why some posters always pick him. When's the last time he had a good game?

Imrie's off the boil, Munro is in the middle of the worst run of form of his career, and Kerr still doesn't look fully fit so I'd go for...

-----------------------Esson----------------------

Tokely-------Pavels--------Duff-----Djebi-Zadi

----------------------Duncan---------------------

Proctor------------------------------------McBain

----------------------Black------------------------

----------Foran---------------Morais--------------

thats the team i'd go for. I would love to see butcher re-introduce vigurs as I think his vision could unleash Morais, we've lacked that final ball without vigurs. somehow i think vigurs is completely out of favour at the moment though, I think that was made clear on saturday with butcher putting a under 19's player in and not him...it's a shame as i think personally that vigurs is our best midfielder bar blackie.

------------Tokely------------- Proctor -------------- Munro ------------- Hastings----------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------Imrie ---------------Duncan ---------------Kerr -------------------------

-------------------------------------- Barrowman -------------------------------------------

--------------------Foran-------------------------------------Morais------------------------

Barrowman - We need as many goals as we possible can in the last five games of this season as the bottom of the table may come down to goal difference. Andy is a good player when playing in the reserve team. He will probabaly make a much better player if he had other strikers to rely on rather than andy being a lone striker as he was under brewster's defensive tactics.

Imrie - Didn't have a good game against Hamilton. Losing the ball on several occasions and not taking many chances on goal. He doesn't perform much against Hamilton fixtures but seems to be at his best for the 10 other teams in the league. We need him playing at the sides again as he is a rapid player and can cross the ball into the box accuratly and effectively. He's a fan favorite for a reason, so stop dropping him from the team because of ONE game.

Hastings - We need a good player to play on our left side of defensive during these tough times in the league and i dont think Lionel has got what it takes. Hastings made a few defensive mishaps at the start of the season but seems to have improved and i think now is the time to get back to his postion in first team.

Munro - He is a valuable asset to our team for many years and has been a very effective captain for our team. Can i ask you this? Why take out our captain and keep Lionel in? I agree that he is not our best defender on the pitch and can make mistakes, but why also keep Lionel on? He has done worse for our team than he has done good. So if you are taking out Munro, and keeping Lionel in, then your making the team worse as you are taking out the player that covers Lionel and fixes his mistakes.

Foran - Has taken alot of chances on goal, some which are useless, but some which are brillant. We need this in our team. Someone that wants a goal. His goal on saturday was our savior from relegation as Falkirk would have been closer to us, and which ever way you look at it, thats not good. His fluky deflected volley was what was required of him and he played well along with Morais at the weekend.

Not very sensible at all. Just two people at the back really.

He also says to keep Duff and Magic back, then same sentence, he says to keep Tokely and Magic back?! Duff ain't even in his team. Bizarre to say the least. :rotflmao:

:rotflmao: i actually laughed when i saw this team. Proctor with munro at centre half? hastings hasnt played first team football in ages, i wouldnt risk him at this team in the season. Imrie on the right? has he ever played there in his life? hes normally a left midfielder. Kerr is normally a Central midfielder. No Ian Black? Are you Craig brewster?

For me, he's best in a wing position. As we're leaking goals, I would play a more cautious game then unleash Imrie in the second half to have a go at tired legs.

Munro - Can i ask you this? Why take out our captain and keep Lionel in? I agree that he is not our best defender on the pitch and can make mistakes, but why also keep Lionel on? Every player can lose form and it seems Munro's loss has come at a crucial time. With Tokely making a strong claim and Mihadjuks first name on the sheet, then, captain or not, Munro has to stand aside. That said, he's a decent player so it doesn't mean drop him and never come back. Purely a loss of form.

Rooney?? I just don't get why some posters always pick him. When's the last time he had a good game??

When was the last time any of our forwards had a good game?

Foran, Imrie, Morais are all players who can play upfront but none of them are what you would call an out and out striker. They aren't ball winners and don't offer much in the air, when you consider we play long ball football we need at least one player who can compete in the air and chase lost causes. Why Rooney? because IMO the only other options to lead the attack are Wood & Barrowman... Let Rooney run his @rse off for the first 60 odd mins, hopefully it works, if not consider our options.

I would try the chelsea formation 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 if things aren't working out... if it's good enough for Hiddink & Mourinho it's good enough for me

Esson

Tokely Munro Mihadjuks Djebi-Zadi

Morais Black Vigurs*/Kerr Imrie

Foran Odhiambo

* I would pick Vigurs but Butcher will pick Kerr i imagine

Subs: Fraser, Duff, Gathuessi, Vigurs, Kerr, Barrowman, Rooney

odhiambo is out with a knee injury

He was out for 2-3 weeks which will mean he will be fit for the next game
