rory was a complete waste of a jersey.  i have never seen him contribute anything constructive to the team and today was no exception.  im 100% behind giving young lads a crack in the first team if they are up to the task but he has had plenty opportunity this season and produced nothing..

how about giving the young lad woods a chance - saw the  reserve game against rangers and IMO he has bags more to offer than rory mcwasteofspace.

first half was pretty slow today - some great chances though and a cracking 35 yard shot from rankin which looked inches off target from north stand.

second half was much better.  caley controlled the game much more and looked certain to score.  though falkirk just seemed intent on kicking caley off the park and the ref was oblivious to it!  some great play from ritchie hart today - glad he is back in the squad.

The game was maybe not as boring as at first thought.

We had a few long range efforts in the first half which mostly went wide, apart from Harts dipper from twenty yards when the ball sat up nicely. Rankin let rip with what could be described as the question to Sportsounds answer......what travels at 357mph...........Rankin's fierce effort that whistled just wide in the first half against Falkirk.

Apart from that and Tokely's booking for clattering old man river five minutes late, nothing happened..........oh, and the traditional misplaced passes.

Second half I thought we started brightly then fell into a routine of pumping high balls forward, which as usual got us little reward. Bayners was not getting much change from the big defenders and any knock ons were not being read by Dargo. This had nil nil written all over it, but hey presto, a Falkirk punt forward found a geezer on the right in oceans of space and he drove towards the box and drilled a shot low and hard through Fraser..............oh dear. But, we are made of sterner stuff and had a go, bringing on the dangerous Rory (only joking Richard), who almost contrived to gift Falkirk an easy opportunity to score a second. However, the big talking point of the second half was how the only two people to miss the corner that Bazza should have won were the referee and the fekkin standside linesman????incredible.

Still, we quickly restored parity with Rankin poking a toe out in a tangle with the defender to send the ball past Schmeich....oh feck it, Peters loon, to give us a deserved share of the points. Dargs almost snatched it at the death but the lack of match practice or conviction meant he chose to take the ball wide rather than have a go form six yards and the moment was history.

Richie Hart was MoM for me, the radio and the big cheeses in the glass boxes, good enough for me. Rankin must have ran him close. Hastings was a bit awol at times and his crossing is soooo pishhh for an international player. Others got bye, nuff said. Roy Boy came on, good to see him back, but no disrespect to Roy, a lot of the punters wanted to see Patti on the park.........I thought that may have been the better move as well, but who knows. Mike Fraser did good although he did not have much to do other than smothering a couple of attempts, still, you've got to be in it to win it.

Must go, dinners burning, will return later to sort out any spelling mistakes...................as if.

Nearly forgot, Charlie moved, which impressed some boo boys behind me............you know who you are Bonzo.

OK, thats it sorted, dinner saved and errors eradicated.

Now for some wine :005:

Full marks to Yogi Hughes for his sporting behaviour.

Our player was injured and at the restart Falkirk tried to take up the advantage. Yogi vigoursly  instructed his players to put the ball out for a ICT throw and for his players not to contest the throw.

The crowd showed their appreciation.

Well done John

Falkirk were given the ball to kick back to Mikey, they chose to punt it out for a throw in instead and angered Yogi who then instructed Rossco to give the ball to Mikey. Yogi then turned to the main stand his normal big grin. Class.

Hey olde git, yes, Rankin had one of his best games for us, playing positively in a fairly attacking role. He took his goal well and had a few pot shots close to the mark............apart from one from the right side which crossed the touchline close to the away dugout :015:

The one which fizzed across the face of the goal was timed faster than the French train.......whooooosh

anyway, sack Charlie now.......
