After that performance yesterday it was maybe a blessing that the BBC never showed too much of the low lights

To scrape through literally against a mediocre third division/highland league outfit is highly embarrassing

Its time Butcher & Malpas started to address the pathetic home form situation or home fans will stay away just like they chose to do yesterday

Yer back! Highly embarrasing? I wonder if Hibs, St Mirren or United fans would agree with you? TM4TJ is right - we just wore them down. I'm sure also that the 2 or 3 thousand home fans yesterday would agree on a day of fresh snow etc. etc. The BBC coverage was the goals and that was that really. On conclusion of the clip they then ignored the match completely and talked to auld man Weir about OF stuff. That's just disrespectful. Nevin redeemed it slightly after that but, as coverage goes it was pish, as the OP implied. See ya in a couple of weeks when you surface again pal.

Open your eyes davie we were playing a third division side, poorer than Ayr,Peterhead and County

Two goals in injury time to progress is Embarrassing no matter how you try and cover it up, we shouldn't have to wear down lower level sides we should destroy them

dougal

A side who sit fourth in their league and only 4 points of the top and with a real chance of promotion,

This might sound disrespectful, but all things considered, an SPL team should be beating any third Div team comfortably at home.

but they play a different style of footy! and they had like 10players in the box when we were taking corners!

Most teams have 10 players in the box when defending corners, its only natural if you are the under dog to defend for your lives and play on the counter. Which i thought Elgin done really well. Caley were as poor as i have seen them all season and fair play to elgin for making it a good cup tie in the second half.

The show was a disgrace from start to finish. It was on for 80 minutes and featured 7 games, why then did we only see 3/4 of the games for about 2 mins each and have to endure the drivel of Pat Nevin and his 'expertise', do I care about a chance that Dundee Utd put wide and have to watch it four times during the highlights then another three during his rambling, no not really.

BBC take a look at yourself, how can a company that produces MOTD so well, yes your English counterpart, produce such drivel, start taking a look at yourself.

Each game could easily have been on for ten minutes each no matter who it was that was playing and the quality, each team have their fan base that want to see their team as much as others do so treat them fairly and equally. I also blame those that run our game, they give out the contracts to tv companies so are in the position to dictate what coverage is shown and for how long it is broadcast, take a look at it and sort it.

?10 for adults yesterday & ?5 for juveniles against an old local rival. I was ashamed to be Inverness at the game yesterday. Our home support is an embarrassment to be honest.

Maybe the singing sections should go ahead ASAP, as we are a laughing stock, and if Elgin had came away with the win yesterday,. it would have been well merited. They were the one's who had the 12thman, not us... A poor show all round.

2 - 3000 home fans from a crowd of 2800?? probably nearer 1200 home fans

I came to the match with a few neutrals they all agreed Elgin deseved a replay. Why can't we get early goals in these games. The stats say 21 shots 12 on target,is that bad luck, good defending or does something need to be looked at here. I still think some players try to do too much in the box. Another thing the Elgin support put us to shame.

I think if everybody is being completely honest with themselves here, we can all agree that Elgin did not deserve a replay. If we are a poor team, but had twenty one shots and two goals in our favour, how bad must Elgin be? Also, classics such has "SPL, your having a laugh" or "Stand up if you hate Caley" is hardly putting our support to shame. If you've got nothing worth signing about, then don't sing. They were all drunk because this was the game of their lives. Did everyone hear the massive creaking sound whenever Foran got the ball? That was the sound of 1000 elgin fans getting hard ons and wide ons because he is the most famous player they will ever see. ICT fans just have a different level of thinking about us. Elgin city, who cares? Celtic only won by two goals as well, and had no where near the amount of possession and shots that we had. The gulf in finances between Celtic and Berwick is a lot bigger than the gap between ourselves and Elgin.

Jeez, short memories on show here, we once (maybe still are) were a wee team and when we went away in the cup we took thousands away and made more noise than the home many a time!!

Its what happens! even away league games away our support is usually more animated and noisy.

As for Elgin deserving a replay what B0llocks, they had two shots on target and defended for 90% of the game, only our poor fininshing prevented a big score, Hellgin were a wee team having a big day out at their big SPL neighbours, our small turnout was A. because of the weather and B. because of lack of interest for us playing a wee team where we expected to progress, also just look at some of the other crwods as shown above.

We are through to the next round, Sandshoes showed how good he can be and deserves to start a game now.

Quality. Feckin. Post. Have a green dot, and sorry about my previous overestimation of our support - typo.

What with Dougal? In what way can they improve things on such a shoestring budget? They're a management team mun - no miracle workers! Elgin were always going to be well up for this. Look at how well Berwick did against septic today - wee team mentality rising to the big occasion.

These type of games always have the potential to be a bit of a struggle. This was effectively Elgins cup final. They had nothing to lose. We cruised through the majority of the game it seems, but were wastful in front of goal. We've struggled of late in the league so Im sure that TB and MM will be happy to get the game done and dusted first time around even if it was a case of better late than never.

It wasn't a vintage performance, we huffed n puffed a little but no team has a devine right to give a "wee" team a doing over especially if they come and give it their all (Players and fans)

Most Caley fans probably only went along as it was the only game they had on. Everyone would prefer a big game. But you go along to watch your team anyway. Against the likes of Elgin its hardly suprising there wasn't a great deal of noise. Not alot to get noised up about really.

And if getting the job done is embarrassing, Dougal, then perhaps spare a thought for the likes of Sunderland (beaten at home by Notts County) Newcastle (well beaten by Stevenage), Boro (beaten by Burton Albion) and Blackpool (beaten by Southampton).

It's a one off national cup game. Sometimes you win easily, sometimes it's more of a struggle. Sometimes theirs upsets. Sometimes you get away with a replay. Sometimes the replay is reliving the nightmare. But it's cup football. All form and standard goes out the window. It's anyones game.
